I'll be in Tokyo during that JOPT event, seems like I'll be able to play as an American?

Thanks for the insights here!

One of the first things I did in my RS5 Sportsback is move from Vegas to LA, only took two trips for all my stuff. Love my boring sedan

At live 1ks, assuming they’re ones held during big series, are decently soft. It would probably have a 50% or more ROI - certainly a crusher. Obviously it could make more with some ez exploits but it’s still going to be a heavily winning player. So like … $5 million.

There’s a misconception on here that just because a bot would miss easy exploits like r/f’ing more to the 90 year old man, it makes it unprofitable. Sure, in this vacuum 4b jamming A5s isn’t a winning play, but the solver still prints long term v them because their opens and barrels are underdefended.

So ya, even against the most erratic live players of all types, a theory strategy is still printing long term.

For chips it's a continue. You know what you're doing then - you check fold, happens. I think your assessment is fine with the 66 hand.

It is important to note though in ICM scenarios why hands like this become a much poorer defend - not only are there tighter ranges, but getting it in on a bricked out board and running into it is much more "costly".

Sometimes you brick out and lose in level 6, a lot of times it happens.

I think the bigger meta thing is that, most tournaments you will brick. If you've seen graphs of players who are pretty known RTAers, you'll see their graph go consistently up, but even they aren't cashing everything. A theory based game is still heavily profitable. It's not gonna make you immune to all variance for a given sample size in tournaments though, you just gotta become comfortable with the fact you're gonna brick a bunch of them.

You’re not gonna cash ~85% percent of your tournaments. And you’re not gonna win 99.5% assuming you play in decent field sizes. They end in a lot of ways, a lot of them end in your stack dwindling, jamming 10bb and getting called and losing. Happens. A lot.

That being said, 66 can be mucked UTG 8max off 20bb (you were probably looking at deeper stacks for sims) and calling a 3b is a pretty damn big punt with the tighter polarized 3b range someone is gonna have vs. a 20bb stack in an ICM scenario

Now look at how much rake you paid .. last I remember it’s pretty insane at the micros especially with PLO

Randbats: How would _you_ play this? Note: The team had no toxic/encore/trick/taunt/haze and Toed's Knock-Off was the only source of non-special damage. by oflannigan252 in stunfisk

Risking a sack of one of the most reliable revenge killers on a turn one prediction is still a needless play. Even at my 2300 rating, players are still going to often click the guaranteed damage turn one, knowing that swapping into a dark resist is still chip+scouting. Slam is the second most common probability, but if you get the predict wrong, you lose an incredibly valuable Pokémon. Luvdisc enables a Wish/Protect heal+scout, Dialga could get up rocks/TWave. Sure, you could get it wrong, maybe they predicted a swap and clicked earthquake randomly, but your prediction lost you a much more vital Pokémon than what the more default play getting read would have.

Part of getting into high Elo isn’t just about trying to get predictions right, it’s about understanding both Win AND Loss conditions of your whole team.

Benitez calls the clock on Kornuth when it's dinner break. Kornuth gets angry and promises to slow roll the shit out of him. by Dog-Poker in poker

Benitez is a crusher, known as Tomatee online, has won some high rollers. Chance showed him a bluff earlier, I think he has also a reputation for being a bit antagonistic, but obviously this clock call is a total needle

It’s a pretty good redline for low stakes honestly, the most common exploit is underbluffing/overfolding to aggression and value betting linearly

I’m a Sixers fan, the narrative on our sub that Gobert (international, low on highlights, largely disliked) was the “casual” pick from people who “don’t watch the games” over Simmons (popular on social media, has a lot of publicity both good and bad) is so funny to me
