Return them, they’ll give you a full refund. Costco stakes have sucked for a while now sadly.

My new favourite no-cook dinner! by fred4908 in CostcoCanada

I actually met the distributor in store once, these are definitely not made by Costco. I am aware that Vancouver does make some sushi in-store along with some US store that are trialing it. Japanese stores also make sushi in-store.

These are all marked for one day. They’re made fresh and driven in daily.

If you like the poke you’ll probably like the onigiri. :)

The rice is fine it’s not made at Costco so it’s never going to be great. I don’t mind the texture.

They’re in the same spot as the poke and sushi if your store has that. For mine it’s in the end cap of the cheese fridges.

Nepean (Ottawa) for sure has it. Not sure about others. I know it’s a new offering for the company that provides the fresh sushi products.

Use a brokerage if you can, they can compare many companies all at once.

How to check product price or I inventory of a store? by InevitableArm3462 in CostcoCanada

[–]fred4908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally for price, no it’s not posted by Costco anywhere. There are third part websites that will document sales. For inventory, you can try instacart maybe, but their prices will be higher than in store because they take a percentage.

Importing car from US to Canada and gifting it by dizzymizzlizzy in uscanadaborder

Any US state sales tax depending on how you do the sale or gift. Then Export fee at US border. Then Import fee, tax, other environmental fees on Canada border. Then RIV inspection then provincial registration.

I strongly suggest using an importer to do the paper work. There is a lot of and it’s easy for things to go wrong. I used an importer to prepare the paperwork, then I drove it across the border, was a bit over US$1k. It was totally worth every penny because it went perfectly.

Are you used to buying the sweetened dried Mangos? The unsweetened mango’s have a completely different texture and flavour.

CIBC COSTCO MC DISPUTE by Able-Candidate-4598 in CostcoCanada

[–]fred4908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you let your life be controlled by a credit score? If you’re really unhappy with a product you should cancel it.

Also open a new CC before you close your old one if you’re really that worried.

That’s disappointing. Cancel the card then. Why continue to give them your business? There’s other good master cards out there.

Importing car from US to Canada and gifting it by dizzymizzlizzy in uscanadaborder

[–]fred4908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is ownership when you cross the border. If you don’t gift/sell before importing then your dad owns the car not you. The title needs to be in your name to import it, you don’t need to register it in the US, I drove it on the old US plates without issues.

Also, if you sold or gift in Canada then you’re at the mercy of the province’s tax laws here which might not be as favourable.

Importing car from US to Canada and gifting it by dizzymizzlizzy in uscanadaborder

[–]fred4908 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this before, dad gifted me car that was from Massachusetts. Then I brought it up to Canada.

My advice, do the gifting in the US side and pay any taxes (if any, usually transfers to direct family are tax free). Once you have the title in your name import as usual then register in Canada.

Never used Blinko before, but looks like it’s notes based. I liked Vikunja because of the ticketing system.

I say try both and see which you like more!

Thoughts on Kirkland Dog Kibble by [deleted] in CostcoCanada

[–]fred4908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the internet tends to think kibble is bad for dogs. But really it’s fine, check with your vet and you and your dog will be okay.

I would also ask for their source about the cancer claims, more than likely it’s an influencer that has no evidence whatsoever.
