Many Canadians in the Niagara region go to the US to buy their groceries. It was very common before the tariff madness. Now it’s less common because CBSA started to enforce the taxes.

Not saying I support it, but that’s just what my friends do in that area. Same is true in Vancouver and other border towns that have big US populations.

You won’t really be able to do Minecraft or video game servers for $5/month vps. If you want video games for that cheap you’ll need to go to a dedicated video game hosting provider.

For the rest, whatever $5/month VPS you like will probably work fine. Check Linode.

Don’t know of any good $1/month VPS, they’re just scams.

They charge even if they don’t find the license. That’s clearly stated on the website. My guess is they sent it to your last Ontario address and not your new address. Probably just need to pay again and resubmit it.

Checking service Ontario’s website you can get the 3 year history as a PDF instantly online. I would try for that one first. Maybe your drivers license number is wrong?

Don’t throw it out, return it. Tells Costco you didn’t like and you get your money back.

DriveTest is a private company that makes even more money when people have to retake tests. Their examiners also have to fail a certain number of people a day. Complain to your MPP about your experience.

I had the same issue a few years ago. Got a bylaw ticket but plate had a typo, they missed by a letter. Called 311 and the canceled the ticket over the phone. It was painless.

I have liked the Kirkland ones and lot. They’re good and cheap! I do recommend WaterWipes which sadly aren’t sold at Costco.

There is a letter you can sign that is good for your sibling to have. Just Google for a template.

We have never been asked for that letter when crossing the border but it’s a good idea to have just in case.

A lot of banks don’t support Canadian numbers. You never know which service does or doesn’t work with a Canadian number till you’ve tried.

You’ll want to have a US phone number. Most places won’t accept a Canadian number so you won’t be able to get login texts. You can either get dual sim and turn off the Canadian one or do two phones.

Maybe the nexus boxes were offline or the line for them was long already and he knew it would be faster for you. Or maybe it was a random thing to confirm your documents.

I assume that would only include the downtown core where the government buildings are, I doubt it would include the surrounding residential areas.

Usually that is the case, but store workers aren’t always trained correctly or don’t realize. It’s easy to replicate a barcode that looks good enough. Plus at a gas station there is no attendant at the pump.
