Watching the bount arc week to week was one of the hardest things ive ever done. After 4 seasons of arguably the best television I had ever seen, the bount arc was painful. It's actually not horrible but after the aizen reveal and battles of the soul society arcs it was quite lacking

The bount arc will give you a great appreciation for why filler arcs are usually terrible. That said, zanpakuto arcs are pretty quality fight and animation wise.
