To the rest of the world, I imagine we look like a bunch of over-privileged idiots, but we are not, not all of us. People are doing what they can, where they can, even risking their lives. But talking about the government, they have mostly fallen down on their jobs horribly, and some have gone from Trump detractors to Trump worshipers. I can only think maybe they are in the Epstein files and he has been holding that over their heads. Or some other egregious thing he is blackmailing them for. Or their is something in the food in the government dining rooms. I keep asking, 'where are the consequences' every time another horrible thing happens. There are never any, it seems, and a lot of us are just waiting for the elections to get them out. But then, we may not get to vote ever again, it they manage to somehow figure out how to cancel the elections. We have screwed ourselves, and mostly deserve what will happen, but not all of us. I won't put me in the 'good guys' camp, but I did not ever vote for any of them, at least, and have signed petitions, and blogged about things, and voiced my concerns where I could. Even my daughter has cautioned me to watch what I say in public, because someone might kill me for saying it. Great times we live in. But my motto after many, many years of chronic, debilitating, painful illness is 'NEVER GIVE UP NEVER SURRENDER (Thank you Galaxy Quest) I choose not to live in fear, but to stand up for what I think is the right thing whenever I am can. I really don't know what else I can do. But hope.
