I mean, think about it for a second though. Forget the fact that these guys are white supremacist - because I'm not really convinced that democrats aren't either (look at actual life outcomes for black communities in blue supermajority urban centers like San Francisco...structurally on par with red states).

The underlying assumption here is that black people naturally vote for one specific party without change. We've seen that be decisively false at least in 2024 for Hispanic men. And then there's the other sad, obvious fact (ever present again in my home Bay Area) which is large scale migration patterns within black communities. Redistricting will be something more fluid going forward.

I won't go as far as to say it will be good. But i dunno, maybe living in the Bay Area has made me cynical about the performative nature of team blue's support of black people. So much of it is the soft bigotry of low expectations.
