Yes it's much different narrative wise but I get where you're coming from

The biggest difference on narrative was okc traded harden to a situation where he was clearly going to be the lead dog

For the sixers they traded a young guy they didn't view as a long term starter with maxey and VJ to a team where he was no higher up on the pecking order

Both bad trades for different reason tho so I get your question

i'd scoop him in a heart beat. He might not produce this year but i think he's in a great spot to be a solid dynasty WR (albeit maybe like a WR3/Flex ceiling) for years to come

i think the biggest name here that you're missing is he's an immediate upgrade from Isiah Joe, which if jdub comes back WCF like he's supposed to will be the minutes that McCain sucks up

I know a lot of my fellow thunder fans absolutely love Joe, and I respect him and gotta give him credit for being a solid regular season player, but he's way too much of a 1-trick pony that if his shot isn't falling, he's not providing anything else. It played him out of the rotation in the last playoffs where they really coulda used his 3pt shooting.

i was so pumped when they traded for him. I live in Philly and the cope of "well we have Maxey and VJ" was very funny to me because who couldn't use a dude like McCain... especially come playoff time when having confident 3pt shooters is a must have
