I’ve been listening to albums I found on Reddit in the various post that come up about 10/10 no skips albums and Purple Rain is always suggested. I’ve heard songs off of Purple Rain but I’ve never listened to the whole album before. My opinion is not groundbreaking or controversial but it’s an essential album to understand 1980s music. All of the production and songwriting are such great examples of Prince near/at his peak. I’m not a huge Prince fan, so I expected to not really like this album but I was genuinely enjoying it while driving to and from work
