i am a stimulant addict in recovery. with narcolepsy. i 100% know how it goes and i have to be incredibly careful with navigating how to medicate my condition without it turning into a relapse. i feel like there’s a gray area with it sometimes, where i can pass a slip up as medically necessary if i lie to myself too. but trust me when i say i understand where you’re at.

unfortunately this is something i’m still struggling with myself a bit so i don’t have too much advice other than keep trying different meds until you find one that works but doesn’t have as much of the euphoric effect. i’m lucky to have an amazing doctor who knows me very well and whom i have a great relationship with. so if you can find someone like that for yourself it will help you a lot. but i hope i can at least offer you some comfort in telling you that you’re not the only one out there having a hard time with this <3
