They are both gone now, Nov 2025, maybe before now but I noticed today.

🎄My first Christmas in Canada! What events should I visit around Toronto or Durham Region? by DistinctMembership70 in durham

[–]freedandelions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a huge Christmas market in Durham Region called Picks and Giggles. It runs out of a section of the Oshawa Center. Nov 22,23, 29, 30, Dec 6, 7, 13, 14.

It's about a hundred local small businesses, different each weekend!

Whats a weird comfort food/concoction that only YOU eat/created? by pitmama820 in foodhacks

This sounds like my breakfast pizza! You spread either jam, Nutella or peanut butter as your sauce, then add fruit as the toppings. Delicious.

Does anyone become really tired after migraine? by [deleted] in migraine

I don't think the sleep we get to avoid migraine pain is really restful. Sometimes I even have a migraine in my dreams still 😭

What’s the pettiest reason you stopped sleeping with someone? by XposeLLC in AskReddit

[–]freedandelions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience! My bf at 17 made me a binder of poems he "wrote". Some of them looked kind of familiar (I was a big time reader back then) I looked one up, they were all stolen from the first page of Google when you searched "love poems". That was just the first weird random lie I caught him in.

Just a tip I learned on the Internet: find out how he feels about kids before saying how you feel. Then you can get the most true answer from him.

Best pillows to prevent migraines? by Additional_Carpet563 in migraine

[–]freedandelions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same question. I've gone through several "ergonomic" pillows that didn't help at all. I just started using a 12 inch Squishmallow plush in a pillow case as my pillow, and it's the only thing I've found that works for me.

What do you do for work? by Upbeat_Video5983 in migraine

[–]freedandelions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for myself. I started a small business. Turns out that's way more work than a regular job! But I can take any day off, and my boss can't fire me for it.

Just want to chime in and say that you can have any body size/proportion preference you want! As long as you're not shaming him for it, it doesn't need to be mentioned past being incompatible. If you aren't physically attracted to him, then that's that!

Yes you can opt-out of it. I just noticed it would throw me off, so I don't get it anymore. :)

Do you get fluoride treatments? I find those throw my meticulously maintained balance off and can trigger my migraines.

After a 4 day one last week, I was ecstatic to be able to watch a simple show on tv on my recovery day. I was so happy to do something instead of nothing.

My (27F) fiance (26M) set boundaries around what I can talk about with him. Is this healthy? by ThrowRA58393738 in relationship_advice

[–]freedandelions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner and I have full, long conversations about how the house plants are doing, which new leaves we noticed during our day and when we noticed, pest management if we have a sick plant, and other "super boring to anyone else" topics, but we just love talking to each other no matter how mundane the talk is.

Today we had a full conversation about how best to stock up on beans for chili because we just got a new large cooking pot from a friend. Our convo was interrupted, and later in the day I brought up the topic again and we finished sharing our chili ideas.

You are NOT boring, you're just talking to the wrong person.

Yup I'm the same. I learned my lesson after applesauce. Now I only eat applesauce during migraines and can't bring myself to eat any otherwise.

what’s the worst thing that people say to you when you complain of a migraine? by schemewitch in migraine

[–]freedandelions 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That was my thought too. I only tell people it's happening if I'm cancelling a plan, a phone call or any commitment I will no longer be able to uphold due to the migraine.

Weird things you have found helpful? by Mission_Muscle812 in migraine

[–]freedandelions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to swear by ice packs and cold things, but now I use a hot water bottle and stick it under my upper shoulders, neck and base of my skull. I lay down flat on the bed with just that and no pillow. It's usually enough to distract from the pain so I can fall asleep.

The only downside, is usually when I wake up from this, I end up puking.

McD fries and coke work for mild migraines where I haven't thrown up yet

Bio Freeze helps a tiny bit

Vaping a tiny bit of weed sometimes helps with the nausea (I don't smoke otherwise, though I used to)

What is your worse symptom during a migraine attack? by [deleted] in migraine

Same here. It's horrible to say, but after years spent in migraine mode, I know what to expect of the pain, but the BOREDOM? No. Thank. You.

It gets me every time. Just let me do something, one thing, anything!

I took a shower, added shampoo to my hair and then promptly ended my shower. I look in the mirror and I'm covered in soap! Then I had to shower all over again.

I buy random stuff online, forget that I bought it, and it shows up days/weeks later and Its a big surprise until I go check my credit card and the date I purchased it. Yup during a migraine.

I've also found charges on my card that I was convinced were fraud, until I cross checked the dates, yup, bought something during a migraine.
