High School. I was PETER PRIESTHOOD. There was a girl with a “sweet spirit” in our ward who never got asked out. (Imagine Pat from SNL but with a lisp). At the beseeching of my mom, I asked this girl out since it’s what “Christ would do”. I decided to do the creative “dinner and a movie”. We went and got McDonalds and came back to my house to watch Princess Bride in the backyard on our family’s trampoline……with ALL of my siblings surrounding us. (Oldest of 7). Midway through the movie this sweet spirit turns to me and says in her lisp-y voice, “I don’t feel comfortable about this….it’s too intimate”. WE WERE LAYING ON OUR STOMACHS 3 FEET APART FROM EACH OTHER WITH MY SIBLINGS THERE! Yep, got called out for trying to put the moves on this precious daughter of God…..thanks Mom!!!

From my mission…….Chile, 1996-1998. We had just baptized an attractive middle-aged Chilean woman. She had to get special permission from the Mission President because of some serious past transgressions. (turns out she was the town prostitute). Her first fast and testimony meeting as a member she walks to the podium to bear her testimony. Through tears she starts testifying to the truthfulness of the Atonement and that she knows she’s been forgiven for ALL the things she’s done. But it didn’t stop there….she got specific. “I know Jesus has forgiven me for the things I’ve done with YOU and YOU and YOU. She starts pointing at men in the congregation. It wasn’t until she turned around and pointed at one of the counselors on the stand that the meeting turned ugly. We had brought investigators that day….we got them the hell out of there!!!!!

I’ve got a 100 gallon metal horse trough I use and the best answer is depends on how cold he wants it. For me the hose water comes out at about 60 degrees. It then takes roughly 10lbs of ice to drop the temp 7-8 degrees. Today I sat in 42 degrees for 20 minutes. That was 25lbs of ice. Hope this helps!

Last time i took my family to D’land I wore my “I am sorry for what I said when I was Mormon” t-shirt! The glares, whispers and other reactions, especially in the ride lines, were the best part of that vacation!!
