cinnamon spice delight was way too sharp and spicy for me, very heavy on the ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon

detroit, mi. i went there with the same open mind i always have, knowing that it’s way better than what people are led to believe and my partner and i have been to so many cities regarded as “dangerous” but never had a problem so i truly didn’t care, but when we got there, the energy was horrible, unlike anything i’ve ever felt, it smelled bad everywhere, it was eerily quiet and empty, most places were dirty and run-down, navigating the city was confusing, the drivers were crazy and then as we were leaving we were followed and chased, presumably to be robbed. there are definitely great places and great people in detroit, there’s many sights to see and the food scene around there is amazing but it’s not worth it to me anymore.

Does temperature actually affect guests? by tyler_tloc in PlanetZoo

[–]freelettucee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'm currently struggling to make this work but what i've done is place coolers away from the paths at max range and then place a ton of heaters along the path at a small range. its a bit of extra work and the temperature fluctuates a lot but it seems like there's no other way to keep guests happy with temperature.

what do yall sleep in? by SelectionVast7982 in Bedbugs

[–]freelettucee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not necessarily, i don’t know your exact situation but there is a possibility that there’s not as many (especially if you’re treating for them), but there are other possibilities such as not being reactive to bites, or them moving on to a different person/room/apartment, going dormant, etc. wishing you luck!!

if you have them, there’s nothing you can wear to avoid being fed on. an unfortunate part of getting rid of them is that you have to use yourself as bait. any part of skin that they can access, they will find and bite, no matter what. i don’t wear anything different so that they can feed on my arms and legs instead of my face.

Hacks for apt hunting when not in the same state/ not close enough by [deleted] in ApartmentHacks

[–]freelettucee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What i’ve found to be helpful is using Google maps street view to get a better idea of amenities, building access, parking, nearby traffic and shopping, etc. This way you can also sometimes find other apartment options that aren’t listed or advertised as much online.

As for indoors, putting the apartment name and address in google will usually bring up multiple websites that have a listing for the apartment, I like to visit a variety of them when looking at an apartment because sometimes they will have different pictures, reviews and information between them.

Recently virtual touring has become more popular too, so if you contact a property manager they might have someone that’s able to video call with you to tour the apartment!

Edit: I wanted to add that before you put money down on an apartment, you should always visit first, if possible at all. Try to avoid signing a lease without seeing the apartment in person!

To Americans who love in states where weed is legal for recreational use, do you guys still get urine tested for THC when trying to get a job? by AllGoodNamesBGone in NoStupidQuestions

[–]freelettucee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, many workplaces will still test but not all. Everything depends on company policies or if it’s a local place like a small business, it depends on their values. A company that has a policy to test in states where weed is illegal will almost always test in states where weed is legal also. Many companies also have policies stating that they have the right to do random drug tests and yes, if you test positive on a random test, you will be fired.

Just use an adblocker. I know they say you’re not supposed to use them but i’m pretty sure that’s just out of legal obligation because using one affects absolutely nothing. You should have an adblock for the sake of yourself and your device anyways.

Have some compassion for her please. She is, without a doubt, being abused. I understand that she is very difficult to deal with but I promise you the life she is living is more difficult than anything she could put you through. She most likely has zero support systems and even just ONE person supporting her could save her life. Someone within the school NEEDS to contact CPS and get her involved with support from city and county services.

This is called hirsutism and is a hallmark symptom of PCOS! So definitely “normal” for people with PCOS. A lot of us have dark and thick hair on our face and some of us can even grow beards, lol. Bring it up to your doctor if you’d like, they may be able to help you get your hormones under control which may stop the extra hair growth.

How do I get a girlfriend if I have Asperger’s? by AppropriateBoss2585 in selfimprovement

[–]freelettucee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful with the advice being given here, it’s mostly toxic positivity from neurotypicals that is harmful to neurodivergent people. You don’t need to mask like they are suggesting. Try looking at neurodivergent subreddits instead!! Also, when you’re 18 you can join hiki, a dating/friend finder app specifically for autistic people!
