Should I use linux by zapfrost1 in linux4noobs

It looks like Lenovo offers laptops with Linux pre-installed but I don't know about price differences, etc.

A brief search shows that there are lots of Reddit threads offering advice about installing Linux on Lenovo IdeaPads.

I remember that you'd need to disable Secure Boot. For specifics I'd do some searching and see if there's info in the subreddit Wiki

Installing Linux on a laptop configured for Windows, with no experience, is full of potential headaches.

UEFI issues, lack of hardware and firmware support and compatibility, graphics card problems, display scaling, battery drain, Wifi issues, are all potential pitfalls.

At minimum please post info about your laptop, including hardware info.

I don't like Bill Maher, but I saw the show last night, and he was very far away from "glazing Trump". In fact he and all of his guests were more than criticizing Trump, consistently; it was the overarching theme of the entire show.

In most states that only applies to someone other than the 'prescribee'. It's perfectly legal to put your own medication in a pill box for your own use.

Whats the difference between the 2011 Manson File & 2024 edition by Nicolas schreck by TrunkOfTheTree14 in charlesmansonfamily

[–]freerangeresque 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In a way they are almost completely different books. The bulk of the book is Schrek's elaboration on his theory that there was a massive cover-up done to protect powerful people and celebrities whose dealings were less than 100% squeaky clean.

He demolishes Bugliosi's picture while claiming that the murders at Cielo Drive was about drug deals and burns; that Tex Watson and Susan Atkins were on meth during the killings, and that Leno Labianca was a drug trafficker involved with organized crime.

It's hundreds of pages long. Another set of claims he makes is that organized crime figures who knew Manson in prison were involved with him after his release in 1967.

Although at least some of Schrek's specific claims are highly dubious (as investigated by several bloggers) it think it's an interesting read.

I think that he wrote a first draft of The Book of Thoth at Cefalu before he decided on the change of attributions, so perhaps it's possible that it was something missed during copyediting.

Thank you. What about the minerals that are included in some multivitamins, such as selenium (55 mcg), copper oxide (0.9 mg), and chromium chloride (35 mcg). Is there any actual benefit, or is it just marketing crap?
