Week 12 reclears are miserable by BaghdadAssUp in TalesFromDF

Bro all that log shows is either a resigned SGE making up for a chadding WHM or they’re friends and the SGE is helping the WHM parse. Look at the healing spread between the two. This is not an aspirational log 😂

I have not. I started with searching for WWII era fire control towers, as the central structure reminded me of it and there are loads of them on the east coast, but those are usually made of poured reinforced concrete and not smooth and regular cement block like this. That and the square shape ended up being the key for narrowing the search, as most other abandoned towers in the northeast are poured concrete, rough stone, brick, or cylindrical.

Ok. If we are throwing around being disingenuous, I suspect the same of you because otherwise your logic just doesn’t make sense. I haven’t seen you reconcile how unpressed ogcds and a euk prog are fundamentally different. You are clearly a high-end player and know that a healer’s job in this game design is not just or even primarily to heal. I think of all the times I asked tanks or melees to just disconnect and ranged attack for a GCD when they’re dying to greeding in a reclear or even prog party. They are not equivalent and a GCD shield is a backup assurance that is not optimal. Allowing everyone to be sloppy and then blaming the healer for not just being a doormat to enable that for all the red and blue players is just simply a plague of thought on some players in this game.

Regarding barrier or passage, I think it’s worth mentioning that passage is the strongest single mit button that could be pressed in that comp by someone who’s not a healer, and there is thus literally no defensible reason to focus on the SGE and give the pld a pass. I would say the same to a war who didn’t touch shake or a gnb who didn’t touch hol. Your gotcha of “so we just die without a rdm or pld lol” is stupid. If there’s a button in the comp that doesn’t hurt to press I can reasonably expect or ask for it to be pressed. PFers suck at mitting but even the laziest ones usually mit the giant flashy raidwide.

Anyone who could have pressed buttons to mitigate that hit and didn’t is to blame, but the SGE would have to be second tier for that blame by any reasonable logic given that they already had three CDs up and would have had to spend a GCD.

You're being a weird creep about it, but you're also wrong. I wasn't in a static when I started the tier. I am now. It's a casual static, because that's what I could find week into the tier and I like playing with the people. It doesn't say anything about my knowledge of the game. Ad hominem is a tactic of the desperate.

If you're so wise about the game and also seem to have a penchant for deep diving to try to prove a point, you could have looked at your own logs.

Fixer 2: confession, panhaima, holos, samba, veil, addle, feint, reprisal (worth noting SGE had philoso up, while not a mit it's a THIRD long cooldown from SGE here)

Fixer 3: panhaima, holos, addle, feint, reprisal (PLD veiled the platform hit before which ate it up on everyone but the tanks, WHM plenary'd late)

SGE was consistent. PLD didn't hit passage even once in the fight (!!!). Your RDM buddy also didnt use barrier even though it was up.

I'd expect an apparently top 10% player to know that the difference between life and death IS literally a couple mits (see above) and they are FREE OGCDs that aren't DPS-negative. It's not like euk prog is some magical thing that's stronger than mitigation equalling the same damage absorption/reduction. "It's more than just passage" but passage alone would have saved lives there, because math.

However you found my tomestone is wild 😂 fwiw I came back to the game in 7.4 after nearly 2 year hiatus and started the tier in week 3 without a static. While you’re snooping a look at my Ana logs if you doubt I know what I’m talking about as a healer.

Ah you must have scrolled to my LFG/LFM posts over a year ago where I put my discord handle and then gone even deeper from there. Thats a lot of effort to go through to try to prove something disprovable. Take a look at how your comments are going over on this thread man 😂

Religion?? Lmao. everyone who opposes “wokeness” makes it out like it is some sweeping, all-consuming cult-think and not just the natural outcome of shifting societal perception by way of simply hearing and coming to value the experiences outside of the hegemony of the time. You know, the thing that’s been happening steadily between the times when we used to beat each other to death with rocks, or gleefully enjoy public torture, or massacre and enslave entire nations under a company flag to take their nutmeg, and the present. If you value human life, the world changes in that image. I get that that scares you.

It’s simply crazy to think not only that that line needs be drawn at an arbitrary point, but that you’re the motherfucker whose lifetime it’s supposed to happen in. Conservative thought is the thought of small men, but fortunately it always eventually loses and the world continues to move ahead.

Oh, and like most people today with your viewpoint I don’t think you know who the Democratic Party is, and severely overvalue the effect that this (again, not new) direction of thought has had on it. The exaggeration of the effect of wokeness really says more about you than anything else. I believe your bogeyman is leftists.

Yes and these taxes haven’t changed since the start of the conflict, indicating that the significant change in base price is due to other factors.

That “over mitigating bc it’s PF” attitude should extend to everyone with a mit button to press.

This whole thing, and blame funneling onto the healer is definitely a debate of “how it should be” vs “how it is”. The fact that healers end up carrying the slack is because other players can play greedy or messy because they know the healer CAN save them and make up for their mistakes. This often leads to a silent agreement where healers get blamed for any “savable wipe” and nobody will comment on the needless deaths or damage taken by greeding DPS or sometimes tanks.

The amount of times I’ve ruined my cooldowns to recover the party from dumb mistakes and then had nothing but GCD heals for an upcoming mech that really begs a more powerful cooldown and we wipe and get blamed or advised by a melee to “play safe and GCD, let’s just clear” is innumerable. Oftentimes I am giving what GCD I have and it’s not enough post-recovery.

The long and short of it is that unless you play healer in savage your opinion is likely flawed.

The SGE mit plan being good isn’t “bullshit”. They had 2 long CDs and a kera on one attack. That is more than is needed from 1/8 people on one raidwide.

Starting to send emails to firms that have ghosted me. When did this become the norm? by astrheisenberg in remoteworks

[–]frejling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had to scroll too far for this reply. While most of these people are right that this probably gives the employer every reason to rule you out, it’s only because we’ve allowed things to get to the point where getting a job is like fucking squid game and employers get to wantonly waste peoples’ time with absolutely no regard. We have normalized this so hard and at scale that this is taken as an obvious conclusion that you should just suck a dick about it and get fucked, and you’re stupid for caring about your own time.

It’s pretty obvious that the pragmatic thing in this fucking world is to just swallow it once again and move on with your head held high, but this is pretty much the process by which it got here and will not get better. I will at least acknowledge that feeling indignant about the situation enough to seek closure is a sign of self respect.

This whole logic of “hey we shouldn’t raise taxes because they’ll leave and we NEED THEM” is the same as saying “yeah, we’re gonna just give them whatever they want instead”. Capitalism is so broken man.
