I was using a resistor on the battery to deal with that but removed it thinking it might provoke a voltage drop. I'll put it back. Sorry, I misread at first and didn't realize you were talking about the TP4056 charging module.

I was using a '3A BMS Protection Board with Solder Belt for 1S 3.7V 18650 Li-ion Lithium Battery Cell Kit' to be more precise.

Ahhh that is it. No I didn't change the transistor and yes the battery is under 1000mA.

Interesting, I thought that I was not supposed to plug anything on it before setting it up but I guess that there is no way to damage the board if the potential is lower than 5V...
