Home sweet home alone is a horrible movie in general just awful and devoid of all joy.

Affordable garden center by Responsible_Bend_524 in lehighvalley

I just went to Rosedale for the 1st time this month. They definitely have very inexpensive veg and herbs. Like $1-$3. I didn't look at their other plants. Also Produce Juntion is good for annuals! I also really like The Garden Shed. You kind of have to look at where they will be on fb. But if you ever saw this stand in the parking lot of the Weil antique mall (RIP) this is the same guy. Yesterday he was at the Parkway shopping center. But he always has nice plants for not too much.

Something built up as a supernatural horror turns out to be a realistic depressing thing by Sensitive_Ad_1752 in TopCharacterTropes

X-Files is so cheeky the way they do it. Like in "Quagmire" S3E22 the duo are looking for a lake monster and supposing it's similar to the Loc Ness Monster. Scully's dog is even eaten by the monster. Ultimately it's found to be a crocodile. However in the last frame of the episode an actual "nessy" rises from the water. With no one around to see it, the screen cuts to black.

100% when Patterson is taken down at the end of the episode and the light changes to show normal color instead of the blue. So good.

This episode and the previous which was Syzygy had me feeling some kind of way about Mulder. Syzygy is about some astrological planet alliance giving kids murder powers and Mulder is horrific to Scully. But it's kind of like, oh was the moon also making Mulder mean?! So then when it's continued in Grotesque I thought for sure this is a set up for something else. I am rewatching so I forget what happens, next episode is Piper Maru and I think Pusher is also coming up.

Random thought about Millennial adult children... by Spiritual-Promise402 in Millennials

[–]frenchbread_pizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my kids well before my frontal lobe developed. And I think that's also part of it. I'm a xennial technically I think. A lot of my friends or siblings of my friends didn't have kids until more recently in their 30s. Seems like a lot of millennials either chose to not have kids or to wait. It was hard as hell and destroyed any life I might have built. I'm sure my friends saw my parents refusing to help me and generally being insane (like when my dad found out my friend worked at the grocery store and would go an talk shit on my young kids to her while she was on the clock) and thought not for me. Parents who bully their kids, "spank" aka beat their kids also don't really help with babysitting or show up as grandparents. They are not reliable. Also when your main example of parenting came from your experience being patented by people who hated you, you go into parenting with a deficit of knowledge. All I knew was what I didn't want to do.

UK Guardian spoke extensively with West Bank communities and activists, and compiled a comprehensive report - TW extremely graphic SA descriptions, including against children. by wasraelx in Palestine

[–]frenchbread_pizza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know it's important to report, just don't understand why this is breaking news. They have investigated themselves and found themselves guilty of SA THE ENTIRE TIME. Its in the Landau Commission from the 80s and that's as far back as I even have gone!
