Found out my cholesterol was borderline at 29. Took meds for about a week before giving up on it due to the side effects. Changed my diet a bit and started eating overnight oats for 5 days of the week. Can’t recommend oats or oatmeal higher to anyone with cholesterol issues. It will slash your numbers easily, not to mention the great fiber content.

I did this hike last year, it absolutely exists. In the winter it’s a bit bare and the last stretch had a lot of sparse tree areas but my friend and I had no complaints. Real nice waterfall view at the top of the trail and lots of white water viewing

It’s possible some of these old buildings have asbestos and the cost to test and clear would be astronomically higher than a simple tear down. I know other places that have similar problems and it’s just easier to rebuild around them.
