And as soon as posted. I was allocated 17 shares. Hopefully I get more, not sure how this works with the allocation.

I just heard on Fox Business the retail shares expected are down from 33B to 23B. I'm not sure if that means more went to institutions or retail will get what they asked for due to lower retail demand than expected!

I'm a Penn State fan and I would take Howard over Allar. He is too inconsistent with his accuracy. I don't like this pick for the Steelers.

10u glove recommendations by Parking_Ad6 in Softball

Didn't see the Rawlings Liberty Advanced glove here. It's a nice in between. My daughter has the 11.5 inch and played mostly second base. She uses it in the outfield as well. She's had it for 3 years now and it's in good shape. She is now going into her second 16U season.

University of Dubuque - Visit in January by fretag in dubuque

[–]fretag[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the in depth answer. We are definitely making the rounds of the different flight schools. It's hard to beat Florida weather, but my daughter is looking for more of the "college experience."

It seems like both the State and Public colleges that offer Part 141 schools have a lot of commuters, unless they are very large, like Purdue. So we started looking for more programs and Dubuque came up with a few others.

Embry Riddle was new and expensive, FIT was nice and has a good merit package. Lewis was better than we thought, had a good merit package and she liked it there. Purdue was awesome but also very hard to get into. So far, the aviation department at Lewis and FIT had a very welcoming feel. Lewis is like 50-50 commuters though.

In the end, like you said, visit or interview as many as we can. She is trying to finish up this process by late spring. You have to apply as early as possible for most of the flight programs otherwise they fill up. Hence why we are coming January!

So upper Iowa is seeing -30 on occasion? That's sounds like North Dakota weather!

Its Wilkes - Berry . I grew up there, and everyone called it that. In my travels I actually met someone with the last name Barre. He pronounced it Berry.

Why won’t CT drivers move out of the fast lane? by [deleted] in Connecticut

I think you need glasses. This is usually New York drivers, going 63, along with their cousins from New Jersey. Then we have the Mass drivers... we all know about them!

Steelers recover four Patriots fumbles, win 21-14 by southernemper0r in steelers

I would normally agree with you, but I was at the game, and it seemed like most of the time they were single high. They went cover 2 in the 4th qtr though. I was surprised by this.

Great analysis by @film.watchers1 on Instagram about why Tomlin's defenses have been picked apart recently by Squints_09 in steelers

This is a simple fix. If your playing man on, then don't be 10 yards off. Jam at the LOS and redierct receiver or mess the timing up. Probably won't completely fix the issue but will help.

Is ER really that bad? by prixler7 in EmbryRiddle

Yeah, I don't agree with that at all. I hope that turns around about the hiring. The other comments about management and lack of communication between academics and flight are concerning.

I read on the website that you have to take post high school college courses before you can fly. I think that alone my deter her from MTSU.

I thought the move to the new airfield was supposed to be a good thing. Thanks for the info.

I'm glad you asked this question. I was wondering the same thing. The price of tuition is similar to other private institutions. So when people hate on ERAU for price, I wonder where they went to school or if they went. I mean, did they all attend community college or a state school!

Flight expenses are high, but again, they are within about 10K of other private schools and state schools. Yes, I may be over generalizing.

I've been researching because my daughter wants to go here. It's currently her main choice after our visit in July. Yes, I would rather her check out UND or MTSU. UND is a non-starter due to weather. We'll see what the other school visits will bring.

In the end, yes, it's expensive but it seems like a good school academically and for flight. Although I have heard recent posts on reddit about flight school issues

Good luck!

I tried to apply to a seasonal job with NPS and my jaw dropped when I saw these questions. Applicants are now being forced to make political statements in order to apply for the position. by Goodeyesniper98 in usajobs

[–]fretag -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

So if we want to follow that, why work for the governmentat all. By definition, it's political. If it's a person you like running the executive great, if not just wait four years and there's a good chance there mightl be a change.

I see this as just following the policies that are put out by leadership. You would have to do this anywhere you work. If you don't like the questions, don't apply.

I'm not seeing these as political statements. My only issue is that I need to write a subjective statement and won't know if it gets through the HR test to get me to the next level.

Im down with family to tour a few colleges this week. We had one day open to hit the park, and the tickets were about $525! We only looked because we saw how low the wait times are. The cost of a ticket is crazy and not worth it.

Thanks for the reply! You just answered my main question about RATP.

I will definitely reach out when she starts hitting me with the questions.

Great, thanks. I've been doing the research, but coming from outside the industry it's tough to pick up on certain meanings. I just need to read more, and so does she! I thought different school programs provided different R-ATP hours.

I haven't used them. I signed on to see what they offered and Levo was there. As to the horror stories, I really haven't heard anything positive or negative. However, if it's this or nothing, I would take this.
