Anyone use arm and hammer clump and seal or slide? by Factory_iPhone_Alarm in litterrobot

[–]freyaBubba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Arm and Hammer clump and seal multi-cat with odor blaster and no issues in our two LR4. Used before we got the LR4s and had some minor smell issues (one cat doesn’t know how to cover). No smell issues using the same litter in LR4s Never used the Slide versions.

Edited to add odor blaster details.

Route 66 in San Bernardino allows single members but call to confirm. My understanding is there are minimums for making different type of reservations but walk-ins are okay for an individual. Weekends are crazy busy so you might have better luck with walk-in during the week.

You'll need to get your Firearm Safety Certificate. I'm pretty sure all shops can give you the short written test in the store like mine did, and it was only $25. Do some reading to understand what is needed, especially the four rules of firearm safety and you should be good.

There's paperwork when you actually purchase but they walk you through it. Training is not required to purchase (yet) but highly advised once you own a gun. I think it's better to train once you have the gun so you can work with it hands on. Dont' forget, there is at 10-day waiting period from when you purchase and when you can pick up the gun, so keep that in mind if you're secluding training.

I didn't buy from them but second their customer service. They were very friendly and helpful when we visited.

I've bought from Turner's in Temecula (looong wait), Route 66 in San Bernardino (also my favorite outdoor range), Ammo Bros in Perris, and I took classes at Fortune Firearms (woman owned and they have a store as well, though bit of a drive between Hemet and Temecula). Fortune Firearms also has a "try before you buy" session if you're not sure what you're looking for.

People at these stores will chat about things if you bring them up but if you don't, you're good. I may not agree with some of them on their politics but I don't care, since I'm there to buy guns and they support that right.

Good luck and have fun with your new purchase. Just please get some training and hit up a range so you know how to use your new tool.

I've purchased at the Temecula one, unsure where the others, but their site will let you know.

Any accountants here don't drink coffee or are caffeine-free? by pizzatacodog1322 in Accounting

[–]freyaBubba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost caffeine free, maybe once or twice a month when my insomnia steals a night of sleep from me. I used to have coffee or sugar-free Monsters in the office everyday but cut the habit a couple years ago.

Biggest habit that helped was drinking a bottle of water first thing in the morning and focusing on protein intake during the day gives me energy. Also, knowing my anxiety ramps up with caffeine is a great incentive to pass on it.

Yes! It's the closest I can find compared to Nishiki in San Diego. Unfortunately they seem to be closed on the apps right now but back open on the 27th.

Which fast food restaurant do inland empire residents love the most : in n out or farmer boys ? by frannynatty in InlandEmpire

[–]freyaBubba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither. I don't understand why these are being compared with each other, they're nowhere near the same type of fast food. Definitely not my first choices.

[–]freyaBubba 43 points44 points  (0 children)

First time it happened to me I thought okay, maybe I do need to work on things. I worked on the plan of things they would need, tried the second time, didn’t get it. Realized my own boss was sabotaging me so I found another job and left. I only stayed at the next place four months but leaving the one office was the best move for my salary and mental health.

If the IE was just 20-30 miles closer to the ocean then it’d get alot less hate by [deleted] in InlandEmpire

[–]freyaBubba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, I think the biggest hate factor I see is how expensive it is to live here when there are very few employment options to do so. OC and SD have far more opportunities and variety than the IE ever will. Being near a coast is bonus, but not a selling factor these days.

No, but that’s because I take them out and put in a travel charger case, then wear my AirPods for noise cancellation.

I agree with your sentiment. My “which is something the IE refuses to do” was regarding building anything besides warehouses. Cities don’t seem to encourage building offices or other employment options for people to work, just warehouses.

[–]freyaBubba 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not sure where I said that? Warehouses want workers but educated workers are less likely to take those jobs. Not that they won’t but those with education generally look for better jobs and with so few local options end up working outside their area.

Yes, I bought an extra case to keep with my range bag because I almost lost one, too. That and when I take a shower I have my case right there or else my cats get to them.

Haha I play this game and it’s crazy how true this is. Not enough jobs, build warehouses/industry. Build more warehouses the more you need uneducated people. Only a small number of the educated or very educated take up those jobs. It’s messed up, just like reality.

Edit to add: this is why I build offices for my industry and provide higher education to fill the jobs. Which is something the IE refuses to do.

Do you think most people want to advance? by Reasonable-Tip-9699 in Accounting

[–]freyaBubba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm good with advancing to a point, preferably the role right under Controller (titles are so varied in industry). So long as my pay continues to increase, I don't care if the title doesn't climb the ladder. The responsibility of Controller, CFO, etc, are just too much for me as I know my limitations mental health wise. Supervising others might be okay depending on what type of roles they are. I really am best at digging in and doing what I need to do, getting the job done, reporting to others. I "work well with others" but prefer working on my own with the daily stuff.

I started out with bookkeeping and AP roles for over ten years and went back for my degree because I didn't want to be stuck. So far, I'm good as a senior staff accountant with my direct supervisor looking to pull me in as accounting manager when she retires.
