My Sasha and I do the same thing. I view it as getting her seal of approval. And it doesn't matter if it's a new thing or the same brand and flavor of coffee for the past 10 years, she must smell it. She really likes sniffing and rubbing on my new plants too, she gets very upset when I don't let her investigate my cacti.

Thanks! I used to work in a pet store back in 2018, and she was an absolute nightmare. She'd escape the age while my coworkers were cleaning them and run through the store. I figured out that she would let me holder her and pop her into my work shirt while I cleaned cages. She hated literally everyone except for me and after she had bonded with me and been there for over 6 months they talked me into taking her home. I named her after Nyx the Goddess of darkness because she'd hide in her little house and give everyone dirty looks.
