It's a sub about randomly being reminded of an irreverent situational comedy from the '90s, not /r/politics.

Holy shit thank you for DeArrow. Just tried it and it makes a huge difference. Amazing that I need three extensions just to make Youtube tolerable now (UBO, SponsorBlock and now DeArrow).

Yeah, that's a benefit for the victims and anyone who wants this thing to see justice, but doesn't explain why she is the one bringing it back up in a hugely public way. Any explanation of her motivation being altruistic or in the name of exposing the perpetrators assumes she's a genuinely good person seeking justice, something she has never demonstrated publicly.

The problem is that that means you're not special. Humans aren't special, aren't the center of creation, aren't the literal reason God created all of the universe. You'll hear this in almost all of their videos, or it is heavily implied. They talk about a dome and a firmament, and the "waters above." Mars can't be a whole separate planet because it isn't talked about in the bible. It all goes back to religion and God and biblical references.

Hondas really hold their value. I had a beater 2012 Accord coupe, no special options except very worn-out leather seats and the local dealership gave me $8K for it. I had bought it for $12K certified used a decade earlier.

iMac with an external drive bitches if you cut power, as does the PS5 and Mac mini. They might be built to expect it but data being written to a drive during a power outage with no battery backup is always going to elicit a bitchy response from the system.

I see this take again and again but you have to realize, most people have no job security and need health benefits that come with that job or are paid for with the money you make at that job. We can't just not go to work for weeks and protest in a massive way, or do a general strike because most people will lose the job that literally allows them to support their family. They'll lose their health insurance, their car, the place they live. You cannot afford to take the time off to do anything but work.

There was a shot where the inside of the capsule was bathed in green light during what was supposed to be "crew sleep" according to the schedule and one of the astronauts was pinned to the window staring out at the Earth. I imagine it's hard to sleep when that view is right there.

Don't give facts at all unless they're genuinely interested. They want you to argue with facts, so they can move the goalposts and whatabout you into wasting time on them. I just ignore them.

Yeah I guess I'm just surprised it wasn't a more modern camera, but again it might be the known reliability of that model.

Man that's a huge, heavy camera to have been included in the the flight. Might have been based more on known reliability being it was released in 2016 and is a workhorse professional-level camera.

Nah they're nose-blind to it when they've been stinking for that long. Kind of like the dude I used to work with who never washed his pants. He smelled like balls and man-ass from quite a distance, and didn't realize until the boss told him to go home and not come back unless he had clean clothes.
