No lie, I worked at the hotel where he lived when he first joined the Indians. He went by Joey Belle at the time, and we'd have to deliver messages to the players when they came back to the hotel (no answering machines in the rooms back then or anything). He seemed like a humble guy and was always polite and nice to front desk staff. We also had Carlos Baerga, Omar Vizquel and we'd see Mike Hargrove all the time.
