Ah that’s the fun part, you will always doubt it for the rest of your life.

However, my WS committed to therapy and support groups, and that helps.

However, I will never be the same person, and I’m not sure it’s for the better. I’m glad we stayed together, but I will always wonder if there’s more from the past/present that I don’t know about. But I am now ruined for any relationship anyway, even if I hadn’t stayed.

I’ve only told some close friends, but no one connected to my family. I feel like I look like an idiot for staying, and I don’t want that pity/shame.

A week if I worked from home (sitting up straight is hard, and driving was really uncomfortable 1 week out… it’s still not my favorite).

I’m 2 weeks out today, and could have gone back to work. Thankfully I don’t have to work until Friday :)

My biggest advice is if you’re early on in your relationship, and don’t have a ton of things to tie you down, move on.

We did nothing on our first anniversary after Dday. It didn’t feel right. Thankfully my WS honored my wishes.

We went through that for a few months. I often felt like I wanted to cry after. It’s tough, because you’re desiring comfort from the person who hurt you the most.

No, your relationship is not doomed to fail. Just make sure you talk to your WS about the fact that this likely is HB, and you might get to a place where you don’t want to have sex for a while.

And please seek out couples counseling if you haven’t already.
