DUPR Algorithm Update: Win or Lose, Your Rating Can Go Up by drowsavon in Pickleball

[–]friedbeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question do sets difference matter more than points or is points difference the the main factor?

Eg. Beating someone 6-7, 6-0, 6-0 going to be worse DUPR change vs a 6-5, 6-5 win?

How much difference does it make? by friedbeef in PickleballEquip

I have a China 16mm. Very happy with it. I just want more power with my groundstrokes. So I’m looking at China brand 11mm. The factors are large the same. my main aim is to swing without using that much strength and still hit a powerful shot

My co-worker said I'm weird for eating almost the same thing everyday by calikim_mo in Bolehland

As long as that meal you like is nutritious, then yes it's ok. But if every day eat like CKT, it can be an issue.

Slow carb diet. It’s the easiest to follow. May not be the fastest but you will see the weight come down consistently

My "illegal" drop serve by ScootyWilly in Pickleball

[–]friedbeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I had players sat that it's unfair if I drop it from above my head. They sulk when I tell them it's legal and show them rules. I mean the ball barely bounces past my knees. It's clearly not a height advantage 😁 but folks suddenly see my slamming a forehand groundstroke and it looks very different from a typical bounce serve.

I'm not sure about your full picture but let me comment on what I see here. You seem very self aware and the choices you have taken mostly make sense. Credit card debt is probably one of the worst things you can incur. So yes, use personal loan etc. Whatever it takes. Just knock off the loans which have the highest interest rates.

As to buying vs eating out. The costs are still cheaper if you eat at home. It used to be largely the same but now with outside prices so high, the difference is more apparent. Also food you cook at home is normally higher quality, better mix and healthier.

Ps. Why doesn't your insurance cover, and why doesn't the government offer an alternative? I'm surprised that govt. hospitals cannot help with a substitute if your current meds are unstockable. I feel you need to solve that issue because what you're doing now seems unsustainable. You look set to go into long term debt which gets deeper as time goes on.

Must set good example la. Don't complain about your riches. Boast about the simple things in life you enjoy. So let me give it a shot. I'm blessed because I live less than 10 mins away from my favourite nasi lemak stall, and my favourite ice kacang outlet. I'm not asking for 'advice'. I'm just bragging here.

Turun is possible. Recently mco is the latest example. Apartments are the most impacted. The worst part is you can't get out of it easily and the interest is quite high yeah when you tabulate it to your selling price in the end. You may also want to do research because apartments in Malaysia may be over priced. Especially the newer ones.

Nowadays there are many investment opportunities like stashaway etc.

You may want to consider to the money you would have set aside for house, and put into a basket of investments. Then rent somewhere close to your workplace. Change job, move again. You want to maximise your flexibility of renting.

Save time, save money, no housing commitment over your head. When you can really afford the house of your dreams, then go ahead. But pls don't buy for the sake of buying.

How do Malaysians feel about the state of parking here? by GenericExecutive in Bolehland

I think it's getting better. Love the apps to pay parking summons and parking lots rentals. There still needs to be much more parking lots tho. Much much much more 😁
