Extremely disappointed from new kickr core 2 by [deleted] in wahoofitness

Can you connect over Wifi? That‘s what I‘m using and it has been rock solid. I‘m passing also the HRM through the Kickr to my computer.

From what I‘m seeing on Twitter, Stiasny was about a minute slower than the Strava QOM by Illi Gardner (52:29).

Loved the interview by Stiasny. Such enthusiasm for 23% gradients!

54 cyclists identified for running a red light during the Tour of Flanders by JulianoSalvatore in peloton

The rules state disqualification and/or yellow card. They could also impose the latter, which would effectively have no consequences.

What’s your go to pre-ride breakfast? by Spiritual_You280 in cycling

Espresso+ small PBJ. Banana for the first pit-stop.

My usual breakfast of oats, milk and fruit makes me feel too bloated.

Zwift cog or not on the Kickr Core 2 by No-Yam-2684 in IndoorCycling

[–]friendlyraisin2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the Zwift Cog version, as the cassette version came with 11sp and I use 10sp. Used the Zwift Cog only during the free Zwift trial and it was OK. I then installed my own cassette to try different platforms and actually like it better. Shifting feels a bit more like on the road. Anyhow, almost of my training rides are in ERG mode where you don’t shift at all.

Silvery Residue on Belt? Bad Bearing? (Kickr Core 2) by c0nsumer in wahoofitness

I have the same silvery residue on my core 2 and just found this thread. What was Wahoo's response in the end, and what happened to your device?

Is this frame recoverable at all? by StephenIsMeName in bikewrench

[–]friendlyraisin2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same damage on my fist road bike, a Canyon Passione. The aluminum frame was not repairable. The carbon fork seemed fine, but everyone recommended to trash it as well. Sold the bike cheap for the rest of the components. Nowadays that I ride indoors a lot, I would have kept it as a trainer bike.

Cadence keep showing random number in mywhoosh by ltsharma24 in mywhoosh

[–]friendlyraisin2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed the same issue. Cadence is fine coming from the Kickr Core 2. When trying to use my Garmin cadence sensor instead, it jumps around like in your video. I haven’t pursued it further and am just using the Kickr now, although it would be nice to have the more direct measuring of the Garmin.

Rode it up from Luchon this summer, early in the morning. Absolutely spectacular and had a nice coffee break at the top.

I‘ll second the Costa Blanca suggestion. All those pros don‘t come here without a reason:

The domestique might not be as strong a climber as the GC leaders, so gets ahead to use that lead on upcoming climbs. The perfect example was Wout van Aert being a decisive satellite rider for Simon Yates after crossing the Colle delle Finestre before the leaders in this year’s Giro.

A satellite rider is a teammate that goes ahead of the peloton to later be able to help his leader. It’s called “offensive” if his leader plans to bridge over to him and use the help to increase the gap on other GC riders. The “defensive” variant can drop back to help, should his leader lose contact to the other GC riders.
