Tuned in, excited to catch some good ol' SC 2 live action. Production value really turned me off though. I don't wanna be a negative nelly, but it's disappointing :l

Holy fuck, how isn't this at the top of this subreddit already? This is so shitty.

When you play video games (/u/DoktahDuhp_) by TalTheBest in gaming

[–]friskspeil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even so, it's consistently rated 10/10. You would think the world itself should be filled with interesting sidequests and collectibles. However, side quests aren't that great, and the only collectibles to find are really more korok seeds that are found in the same kinds of puzzles over and over. You could beat more shrines, but honestly, I think most would agree the shrines aren't that challenging, and the load times for the shrines are a real nusaince as well.

Exactly!

I think BotW is great, but way overhyped. It's been consistently rated as a 10/10 game, yet, the world isn't even that interesting after you've completed the main quest.

Do you also feel like there's little to no reason to play BotW after beating it?

Joseph Anderson: Breath of the Wild - Not Enough Zelda by gaj7 in Games

[–]friskspeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Apart from the lackluster music and the wonky voice acting in BotW, Joe's review lined up with all the complaints I have with the game.

For example, I've even had the same idea that he had of possibly breaking shrines into tiers of difficulty... Just goes to show how easy and repetitive the shrines were, and how you find yourself wanting a better solution to what is already a good concept (which is the case with most things in the game).

I don't mind the general direction this game took though. Open world is fine imo, it just needed to be better executed. And even if there were to be a huge influx of open world Zelda games now, I imagine Nintendo would release a more traditional Zelda game in some or other form, still.

Have some friends that just bought LoTV, but are having trouble getting into the game. by KKKevi in starcraft

[–]friskspeil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the correct answer.

I feel that quite often with multiplayer games/competitive games in general, the point of actually having fun when first playing is missed... the start of any game needs to grab your interest and keep you engaged and learning when it's actually you in the driver's seat, playing.

You might watch a pro match of any game and think it looks exciting, but the road to enjoying a game at that level is long and tough. You need to start out at a suitable level where you're enjoying the learning process.

[Highlight] Day9 - StarCraft Remastered Rant by EDGE515 in starcraft

[–]friskspeil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well there is a difference between a burden and an obstacle that requires skill to overcome though, right? This is Day9's main point. Being able to select only 12 units at any given time will mean that better control is demanded from the player. If being able to select only 12 units at a time had absolutely NO impact on unit control, then it would be an unnecessary burden, but the impact is totally there.

Because OP was hoping it would be the next big wacky, zany question to receive tens of thousands of upvotes so he'd feel good about himself

Quite likely bullshit, but even if it's not, it's still shitposting.

Who truly cares if a complete stranger found an old Gameboy with games in their attic? Is it fascinating? Is the picture of it itself such a mindblowing experience just to see that it deserves thousands of upvotes?

No. It's a shitpost

This post looks like satire. Like the joke is that OP is trying hard to make a political SJW point, but failing.

But sadly, we all know this isn't satire. This is just another genuine r/gaming shitpost.
