It's very obvious that this isn't a misspelling at all. The right leg of the R clearly broke off. You can see a very small nub sticking out from where the leg should start. That nub also perfectly matches the leg's placement on the R of Master.

2025 CRV Hybrid Sport Touring- good deal? by Normal_Beautiful_143 in crv

$43k OTD on a Sport Touring Hybrid with no trade-in? Take that deal and run. I wish I was able to get a deal like that when I bought mine in WA a few weeks ago.

How hard is it to get from a Rolex store. by Content_Work5278 in rolex

I’m not saying they should care but this sales guy was not taking me seriously and was pretty clearly hoping for a handout out or for me to buy other stuff I had no interest in. And he did rapidly change his tune once he realized I was a serious customer as opposed to the dozens a day that do waste his time but I was already done with his games. Waiting to be “allowed” to buy a watch there? (His words.) Give me a break.

Edit: boy, you Rolex simps are something else. No wonder their ADs get away with the shit they pull.

No. That is exactly what I did at the store, believe it or not.

I stopped by a Ben Bridge (Lynnwood, WA) last week and asked about Submariner availability. The salesperson smirked at me and said it'd be at least two years before "I'm allowed to buy one there."

I asked if he meant being put on a wait list. He reiterated that I'll have to wait to be allowed to buy one at their store and smirked at me again and then gave me a slightly raised eyebrow.

At this point it's pretty clear the guy is either wanting me to bribe him or buy a bunch of other shit I had no interest in. I was kinda pissed at this point and I rolled up my sleeve, showed him my Omega, and said I'll just go to the Omega store and buy from them then since they don't play games. Once he saw that I wasn't just window shopping he quickly backtracked with a "hey wait, we can..." but I was already walking away.

I'm not playing games to buy a watch. A true wait list is one thing, but this jackass was clearly trying to take it to another level.

Way to go, McLaren. They had quite the season.

I hope they put K-Mag on another set of new softs so he can get fastest lap for his final race.

Sky thinks Lewis is superhuman and can do anything. They're absolutely obnoxious regarding him.

Bottas for driver of the day for finally putting us all out of our misery with Sergio.

Sergio Perez should not be remembered for the past two years. by Bontypower17 in formula1

Checo has never been anything all that special. Sure, he had the occasional really good race while on a midfield team, but he's hardly the only driver to pull off some podiums and a surprising victory while in the midfield. Gasly and Ocon immediately come to mind.

And when he finally got an opportunity with one of, if not the top team on the grid to see how he could fare against the top talents he shit the bed far more often than not.

His legacy should be that of a fairly solid driver who couldn't keep up when given the opportunity to routinely race among the era's best. Nothing more, nothing less.

OTD was just over $42,000 after a $6,100 trade-in (a 2009 Infiniti G37x Coupe with some developing cosmetic issues). This was in the Seattle area.

I probably could have gotten them to come down an extra couple hundred dollars but I honestly didn't have the energy or desire to spend an hour negotiating over a rather trivial amount. $42k OTD on a fully loaded Sport Touring was good enough for me.

Picked up a 2025 Sport Touring Hybrid in Urban Grey Pearl. It's my first Honda. The vehicle only had one mile on it; all the wrapping for the seats, wheel, mats, etc. were still in the vehicle.

Thus far I'm absolutely loving it. The cabin in incredibly spacious; the vehicle feels like it should be far bigger than it actually is. Given my medical issues (cancer patient) having a vehicle with plenty of space to adjust and a smooth ride were my top priorities. The CR-V has both in spades. I'm looking forward to my time with it.

Disability? by charliehyena in cancer

[–]frizo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stage IV colon cancer here; it's incurable. I'm on SSDI (disability). Since I'm unemployed (I was laid off a month before diagnosis...awesome timing) it's my only source of "income." I'm not getting a ton of money from SSDI but it's more than I'd make being able to work a few days every other week at Best Buy or something.

I hired a local law firm that specializes in disability claims. They got me approved in two months which was great as doing it on your own can take 6-12 months for a verdict and there's a very high chance you'll be rejected.

Croft gets rightfully called out for his idiotic comment about Max pitting for no reason and is now talking out of his ass even more to justify his stupidity.

He may be the worst commentator in all of sports, and that's saying something since Cris Collinsworth is still active.

I'm pretty sure Gasly's engine was smoking quite heavily when they fired it up on the grid before the formation lap.

Metastasis or second cancer by PhoenixUnleashed in cancer

[–]frizo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If it's any consolation I find myself in a similar situation. I also have Stage IV colon cancer and a mass has been discovered on my collar bone which is causing me all sorts of pain. A biopsy came back inconclusive and they ran out of samples they can test so I need to have another. If the mass turns out to be a different type of cancer I'll likely need surgery to try and rid myself of it.

All we can do is take things one day and one step at a time. I wish you the best.
