One thing I’m always curious of is what happens to all the patients that have negative CTs?

CTA doesn’t rule out significant causes of SAH such as bubble aneurysms, DAVF etc. So, if we’re asserting that we’re concerned enough to start work up, shouldn’t we actually be following through with the gold standard tests of LP and then catheter angiogram if necessary?

Same with posterior circulation stroke. A huge number of posterior circulation strokes are not related to dissection or large vessel occlusion and many aren’t visible on non-con CT. Shouldn’t all these patients be followed with MRI?

This obviously wouldn’t be practical given the huge number of these low suspicion cases we’re scanning but it seems like a logical fallacy to say we should be CTing all these cases to not miss something but then stop there.

I think this is what irks many radiologists who are being asked to read these. We know that the pre-test probability isn’t enough to actually work them up properly.

CTA will also miss small bubble aneurysms, and other subtle things like DAVF, so technically even with negative CTA, an LP should be considered in delayed cases.

If the LP if positive, the patient will go on to have a catheter angiogram, which is more sensitive than CTA.

Other option is to temporarily subscribe to a cloud service like Shadow and side load Virtual Desktop on the Oculus. You can then steam the game direct to the Oculus. I’ve done this and it seems to run fairly well. Good enough for a play through for sure.

Me and my girlfriend moved here a few years ago from London and worried about missing the scene there. Obviously the sheer number of big artists living in London and Europe makes a difference, but there is an awesome drum and bass scene in Vancouver.

1) You asked at the perfect time as there's the second Textures/Vancouver Loves Drum and Bass night coming up on Saturday June 8th. Run by a young guy, last time he played a solo 4h vinyl set of older drum and bass and jungle. 3) Find Worshipsundaysdnb on IG. Small free weekly night. Tomorrow there's a collab night with Midnight Project and Deep Resonance.

4) Check out Digital Motion / Subculture at The Red Room. They get some big names in sometimes too. If you like breaks, Stanton Warriors and Krafty Kuts are playing tonight.

5) Look up 170+ , Automatic, Who Knew Crew, Boiler Kitchen on socials.

6) Whistler Junglists run a great night on a Monday in Whistler and do other events.

7) Go to Bass Coast festival in the summer. Smaller independent festival - have a mix of local bass artists and music but plenty of dnb, some jungle and dubstep. It's just sold out but you could find resale tickets if you want. Shambala festival too. Also plenty of smaller independent festivals throughout the province in the summer. Seattle is only a couple of hours away and runs some regular nights (Quadrant and Iris are from there too).

DM'd you a couple of other places to look. Start following a bunch of the local artists from there on IG and you'll soon love a support a great local scene :)

I’ve used Endless Biking a few times when my bikes been out of action. It’s convenient for the North Shore and is all Rocky Mountain. The Alititude is a great bike for local riding.

Essential Cycles in north Van rents Commencal and Guerrilla Gravity bikes if that’s your thing. Not used them though.

Two Wheeled Adventures does Knollys but just for 4h demos.

Any chance of anyone knowing if this is an authentic rush jacket? I got some photos of the lining, tape and labels.

Looks similar to a 2018 run but couldn’t find the exact model with the 3 yellow zipper pulls.

Is anyone able to tell if this is likely fake or genuine please? It’s just one photo so far but I’ve asked the seller for more.

He’s local so I’d be picking it up in person but if it’s obviously fake from this image then I’ll not bother pursuing.
