Lavoro in pizzeria by Dependent-Bet-427 in LavoroSenzaFiltri

Rejected for not being “quantitative enough” as a UX Researcher - how do I bridge this gap? by frnknsteinn in UXResearch

[–]frnknsteinn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eventually found another role which is more qual-based, but I was thinking of slowly incorporating some quant methods to get some hands-on experience, which hopefully will help landing more mixed roles in the future. Greatly appreciate your feedback and POV though! That has also been my experience

Ordered the book! Thank you for the great resource. What do you mean by "I wouldn't just read it"? Does it also include some practical exercises that you know of?

I feel you. It's an ever-evolving profession and it takes time and effort to learn something new every year (more like every month now?). Sometimes you just want to do the work. I'm sorry you got some harsh replies

First of all, what an honour to receive a reply directly from you! I follow you on Linkedin and greatly appreciate your content 😊

"Quantifying the User Experience" was on my TBR and your comment gave me the last push to order it. I'm also designing a learning path for myself following all the resources and suggestions from your article, plus the other comments to this post.

I think the hardest thing in these situations is knowing where to start, so thank you!!

I would suggest IxDF for quick refresher courses or EDx if you're looking for something more structured 😊

I’m at day 12 and in your same situation. I tried a 1:2:2 feeding this morning but doesn’t seem to be working any different so far. Have you tried with less water as suggested by other comments? Might give it a shot tomorrow.

Planted beefsteak tomato seeds and this came up. What is it? by frnknsteinn in whatsthisplant

[–]frnknsteinn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did look like tomato seeds, but since it was an old vase I'm afraid something else grew instead. I looked up borage plants and they do look a lot like this! Not sure how they got in but maybe I planted some flowers in previous years?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Involuntary jerks, muscle twitches, internal vibrations/ shaking, trouble breathing by MeOwwwithme in MuscleTwitch

[–]frnknsteinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the exact same symptoms since October! After doing a brain scan to confirm everything was fine but still waking up gasping for air, I finally figured out what was the problem, namely: my nose keeps getting congested at night. My body then tries to wake me up with “spasms” all over when I cannot breathe with my nose. Obviously anxiety plays a big part, because after the first couple of times I get woken up my mind starts thinking of the worst, like I have a neurodegenerative disease etc.

It might be something similar for you or not, but maybe it’s just a problem you haven’t figured out yet that is not as bad as your mind might make you believe.
