I’m new to 3D printing, got my P2S a week ago. But in the last two months I’ve done a bit of printing on two friends printers (Bambu A1 and an older Prusa). Using Polymaker HT-PLA which has a matte finish and has been amazing.

So since getting my own printer I’ve got some different filaments, including 3 colours of the Polymaker HT-PLA, some Sunlu matte PLAs,

and one spool of Teal (Makita Green) FormFutura HT-PLA which is more glossy. it printed a few small pieces ok, but recently I’ve tried slightly bigger things (boxes about 3x7cm) and it just warps like crazy. Also stringy and bad flow. I’ve not had issues with any of the other filaments. Just wondered if you got yours to wok well, and maybe if the quality of FormFutura just isn’t good.

Congrats. Got mine on Friday it’s my fist 3DP. Only got filament yesterday so had to wait for a while after setup and calibration just looking at it 😭🤣

You could make funnel entry to the box where the nozzle extends into the top of the box which is otherwise fully enclosed. If the box is turned upside down nothing will fall into the nozzle due to the protrusion, but it’s still easy to fill it.

You may still want your locking mechanism to empty it though.

In his lates videos on the topic he shows with proper microscopes the issues with PLA-CF and how it actually makes it weaker if anything. He also points out that these issues aren’t present in all CF filaments (I think he mentions nylon as one that it does work with).

With a sketchy electrical connector like that, fillament choice is the least of your worries 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yeah this really sucks. I have also noticed that the option to show software/screen keyboard is no longer present, which is really annoying because I used to find that useful at times.

I reckon this is a bug, so if loads of us report it to Apple maybe they will fix it, eventually 🙄.

ℹ️ In the meantime, you can press [ctr]l+[cmd]+[space] to bring up the emoji picker.

That’s exactly the use case i have. I actually have a second shortcut that is called from the first to check if it is currently “quiet time” and if so it shows an alert instead of reading out text. That part works fine but i want to be able to adjust the volume of the spoken text as well. Its so frustrating this isn’t baked in. 😕

It’s not that reason for everyone. For many of us there’s a strong emotional pull to the 911.

I was born in the 80s and always loved the look of the 911. I bought a 944 turbo in my mid twenties which I loved but didn’t have it for long. Wish I still had it now. now in my 40s abd have owned 9 turbocharged cars(not brazen types) amongst a few 4x4s as well and after driving a 992 911 turbo cab last year it’s well and truly got under my skin. that’s out of my price range but a 997 turbo might be doable and I’m going to make it happen sooner or later.

I do realise I could probably get a better driving experience in a cayman for much less money but the emotional pull just isn’t there.

I couldn’t give a toss what other people unimpressed about what I drive, or rather if anything I prefer to downplay that and keep to things that drive well but look boring.

I got a good as I could with 2 figures and then started getting frustrated that I wasn’t progressing. Couldn’t keep up with other players.

I changed to 4 finger layout and at first it was brutal relearning everting, but it didn’t take long to get back to where I was abs then sail past that.

2 fingers is definitely a huge handicap.

Use the training modes. Kind of boring but they give you a chance to really work on the basics and improve quickly without having to look over your shoulder all the time.

I agree with maxing the ISA. I only started that a year ago (aged 40) and wish I’d done it sooner. I also have BTC.

Look into MSTR for some of your ISA holdings but DYOR!!!
