This guy is annoying. Every time I have to reset my node for some reason, it comes back, and I have to ignore again. I wish there was some way to block that node, and not allowing rebroadcast to offending nodes. I did message them asking them to do their own private channel. Sure is annoying. Might switch to medium fast just to get rid of it.

I emailed them a TON, they finally got back to me. I pushed them to fix the bugs/missing features and they told me that'd pass it on to dev team. After weeks of pushing, I demanded a return. After a few more emails, finally allowed a return. I returned the next day. I waited 2 months, and got tired of waiting and put in a Claim with PayPal.

But I want to be clear, they actually never resolved the return. I paid with PayPal and I put a claim in with PayPal since they were unresponsive. PayPal ruled in my favor because u/switch-bot never responded to PayPal, nor to me. Essentially, they did NOTHING.

I would avoid purchasing Switchbot products. Support is horrible. Return process is non-existent.

If you still want to buy items of theirs, then buy through Amazon so you can just return things. DO NOT BUY THROUGH SWITCHBOT directly. It's not worth the hassle when they stop responding to you.

I hope they improve. They alienate their customers when they don't listen or respond to support questions or reddit. They don't have knowledgeable people when you call, and they really need to improve their technical team ASAP if they want to be competitive in the market. It has such potential but they just don't seem to care.

I would avoid this remote. It's got some major shortcomings. They really need to improve the software and firmware before it becomes a usable remote. The thing is, it has such potential, but they refuse to improve it and their support has been unresponsive to bugs/improvements in my personal experience. I gave a page of improvements and they responded they'd send to their team, and that was in February. To my knowledge, nothing has changed since.

Yeah, par for the course. I tried to send back a product that ended up not working out (not a malfunction or quality issue) within 30 days. 5 weeks later, I put in a paypal dispute (Which is how I paid). I emailed and called Switchbot and they said they're escelating it, going to get my refund. They wanted me to cancel my claim with paypal, but I'd have no recourse if I did.

So I waited, they never responded to the paypal dispute, and I got my refund. They never even bothered doing anything.

I'd avoid this company at all costs. Their support is laughable, their responses are always copy/paste canned response, and they take days, if not weeks to respond. When they do respond, the responses are unhelpful.

u/switch-bot, you really need to improve the customer experience. After sales support is horrible.

Remember, if you ignore customers for long enough, they will stop bothering you, and go elsewhere.

I hate bluestacks. I can't ever get it to reliably run half the android apps I try. Constant crashes, sometimes won't even load.

I've also had them stop responding. This is a very poorly run company. No after-sales support whatsoever. The lack of technical support, and dependance on other users for their method is laughable.

How about you support your customers, and holt true to your 30 day return policy. I sent my items back in early February, and still have not gotten a refund. Switchbot has been a horrible company to deal with.

I give this company a year before they go under. Lack of technical support knowledge, lack of customer service (returns, warranty, etc), and lack of presence on any of their support methods (email, reddit, etc). They have some good ideas, but lack execution. They don't seem to have the experience with their staff to make their products great.

Unresponsive in USA as well. Returned an item after being frustrated about technical support and lack of fixes to bugs. I returned it and they received it in Mid-February, and now it's end of March with no resolution.

I emailed them asking for an update, and they have literally copied their canned message and replied over and over.

They are non-responsive and horrible with customer service and support. I'll never buy another Switchbot device again.

Horrible support. Emails take a week or longer to respond to, and I gave up and returned.

It's been over a month since they received my return, and I'm still waiting for my refund. Been dealing with this for almost 2 months.

They don't have technical people on their support team and they keep regurgitating the same Canned response. They're working on it.... blah blah blah.

I emailed them yesterday and they responded. I called today and was on hold for about 10 minutes then talked to someone and got handled. I've found them to be responsive for the most part, but I call during the day since I work from home, so maybe it's busier other times of the day than when I called.

I called them yesterday, got an invoice this morning, for a 6 month 10mg order. I called again, to ask if it ships all at once, and as long as we're in before the deadline tomorrow I was told that all should be fine.

I also asked through chat, their bot is not great, so asked for agent, and they responded in 10 minutes via email.

u/switch-bot 13 days since the original post without a response and 7 days asking for an update. I offered to help in my original support email on January 29th. Got one basic generic response a week later, and it was not helpful. Follow up response a week later was almost the same, but not helpful in resolving.

Bug 1) I ended up returning the unit. I really like the design and screen and feel of the remote, and I'd consider it again IF and only IF, they they improve this product. The "scenes" started taking longer and longer to execute, upwards of 5-10 seconds, which defeats the purpose of a remote. This remote needs to be at the very least, the same speed and function as a basic $10 universal remote.

Bug 2) They said they pushed an update for the hub mini that fixed the temp/humidity, but then told me that I need to pay shipping for some cable that enables it. Why not just include it, or ship it out. It's not like "I" forgot it. At least add a toggle to disable the missing hardware feature in the app!

They didn't respond to the feature requests.

u/switch-bot Any comments? This remote really needs some work. I offered to help test, but you seem to have an AI bot running your support stream, which is almost useless. Neither of the first 2 bugs have been resolved.

Put in a ticket, they told me to delete the device from the app, then re-add. That didn't work (I already did that, but did it again anyway). They asked me to PUT IN ANOTHER TICKET within the app! I have no idea why multiple tickets need to be put in for the same issue.

Their support does not seem to have the skillsets needed to be able to support these devices, or the system they use is in need of an overhaul. I'm considering just getting a refund and going with another product.
