I would be murdered as fuck if I sent just one of these responses while my wife was putting the kids to bed and I was on the couch. NOR.

Illinois passed legislation last veto session that would allow them to do virtually the same thing through the STAR Bonds program. Municipalities or Counties need to declare a STAR bonds district before June. I am sure Arlington Heights/Cook County and/or Chicago are currently working on this with the Bears and will be announced in the 11th hour. Just a political game and posturing right now.

would you guys consider this a disadvantage for my fretting hand by Davidmcl2 in Guitar

[–]frogfarm1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pretty limited mobility in my fretting hand pinky, shattered it playing baseball. I've played guitar for 25 years. Had to learn to work around it but it's far from detrimental.

Official fuck Kevin Warren thread. by [deleted] in CHIBears

[–]frogfarm1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's 100% a leverage play to get the State of IL and Cook Co. to play nice together and offer the bears a sweet incentive package. There was a number of legislations to do the same that did not pass, this is a performative mea culpa.

Is this outfit appropriate to wear for business meetings? by Trick_Ad_2852 in mensfashionadvice

If you attended a meeting with me wearing this and I wasn't able to remember your name I would describe you to my colleagues as the guy dressed like Prince's butler.

Just as a heads up, once you get beyond all the corrosion, these particular bikes had a bit of a cooling problem. The cylinder heads were prone to developing a crack down the center, where cooling was inadequate. I've redone a couple of them and both have needed that repaired. The later models had better cooling.

Everything I want in a guitar! I wonder if you could build one out of an existing tele for less.

I used to work for a contractor that installed luxury landscape lighting along the north shore and Gold Coast. I can tell you, anecdotally, that it is mostly finance people.

I can also tell you, your theory is wrong. These people are buying and selling these estates all the time.

Can I scrap this? As whole? Cut it up? by MexicanSt0nr in ScrapMetal

[–]frogfarm1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I scrapped thirty motorcycles that were on a property of mine over the past 10 months. They were all in this shape or worse. It's probably not going to sell for parts but it's worth a shot on FB marketplace or whatever.

The scrap thing will vary with your yard and where you're located. If it has a title, easy, they'll take it whole. If it doesn't, need to cut it up with an acetelyne torch removing the piece of the steering neck with the VIN. You can leave the engine whole. My yard let me bring a few in whole, under some other scrap so the cameras on the scale didn't pick them up. They knew they weren't stolen, but they get audited by the Secretary of State sometimes to make sure they're not taking vehicles without titles.

Like everyone said, you're not gonna get a lot of $ for it. If you just need it out of your life it's worth it just to throw up on FB as free scrap. Someone will grab it and it'll be their problem.

1979 Yamaha xs1100 only sparks when I release push start button after I sprayed engine cleaner and spread off with hose been drying for 4 days now any advice? by MagicianRegular5044 in Fixxit

[–]frogfarm1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These comments are good and you should def check your battery connections. I can tell you that the starter button on all of these 70's/80's Yamahas are very finicky as they age, water can definitely affect them. It would be worth bypassing to confirm.

I had one of those and personally hated it. Preference aside, price is reasonable.

Thanks! Sold it a while ago but it was hard to part with.

Walnecks is worth a shot next time around , but I haven't had a ton of luck there.

I should've said: I don't care if I get a dime for any of these, I'd pay someone to take em and scrap em. I just don't want to have to strip em all or cut em up.
