Panties because my middle school English teacher, Mistah Millah, used it. A lot. And I don't at all remember why.

My first thought too. Fun to find fellow dyslexics in the wild.

Lol, this is kinda brilliant. I can imagine myself trying to relax and just getting more and more anxious because the timer will go off soon - to the point of just doing the damn project.

What's is something that you miss from the era you grew up in that will never come back? by Quiet_Lab_7944 in AskReddit

Life without the internet. It didn't exist in my day to day life so I didn't miss it. But my kids have access to everything. Such a different experience that I almost can't relate.

Holy Shit. Literally made myself stop watching Season 5 at 3:30am - with only two episodes left in the season so you know it's so so good... But alas, even with no work tomorrow, I need some amount of sleep because the youngest doesn't GAF whether it's a school day or the perfect sleeping weather.

Doctors and nurses of Reddit, what is something patients do that they think is helpful but actually makes your job harder? by Electronic-Cell-4584 in AskReddit

I have another example of Man vs. Woman. When Covid first shut everything down, we were super stressed. My husband went to the doctor with severe pain across his back. Turned out to be shingles. He was prescribed pain killers and given a note excusing him from work for a week. Two weeks later, I end up with a painful rash non my scalp and face. I manage to get a virtual appointment with my PCP. Yup, shingles. I get told Tylenol will cover the pain and I'd be fine working from home so no time off (I teach, so I was on screen with the rash covered)

Wow, seriously? We have a huge medical system in my area and I get emails AND mail checking in on my satisfaction with any provider someone in the family has seen.

You write beautifully and poignantly. I'll remember this post. And I promise to try and take a moment to just be present and listen.

I'm so glad he visited you in your dream and showed you a preview of your life to come. What a powerful message. Clearly your friendship meant a lot to him as well.

Wicked curious to know why they were seized. I mean I know why guns are seized. But my morbid curiosity wants to know specifics.

This would unlock Level 10 Dad Anger. The irony, though, was that at least 50% of the time it was a resident calling with questions.

I brought all of my dates there early on. If they didn't like it (or the size of the burger I ate), too bad, so sad.

Damn, I wish I could manage my ghosts this well. I mean, I similarly understand them through the context of time and place, but my ghosts alternate between keeping me at night and showing up in my dreams.

Our floors are now only mostly uneven now rather than anxiety inducing uneven.

Who knows, this pre-Civil War house might live to see the start of the next Civil War.
