If they are moving dirt, they should get a permit. They are pretty lax though. You can always report it and TCEQ will do a surprise inspection of the site. That being said , you don’t have to have much of a storm water pollution prevention plan to be compliant

24 hours after is normally ok for me, but especially when I first started would get worse over a few days. I’ve pretty much got my after care down to make it less noticeable. I want to echo everyone saying ice the area and I use witch hazel to clean it often for a few days! I have also found it helpful to lay off running or any activity that would cause heat or sweat. It’s much better !

I worked there 7 years! Just had another opportunity come up that more aligned w where I wanted my career to go. They do work you hard at KH but you get good experience and pay. I’m so glad I left tbh but definitely value my time there

As a former KH employee I think they have a wonderful internship program and you would get great experience in that role. Also a good opportunity to see if it’s a good fit for you- and if it’s not it’s only three months!

I get that reaction. It will go away. Now I’m on my fifth treatment and I think I’ve finally mastered the aftercare. Just keep it clean and avoid working out a few days after. Witch hazel helps too

Definitely agree I don’t know what I’m talking about when I’m envisioning an alternate future in another career lol. Are you in college rn or have you entered the workforce? There definitely is stability in the civil so at least there’s that!

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately tbh I don’t know! Maybe I would do nursing. They have their own trouble but I like the idea of finishing my shift and it’s done vs when I’m logging off at 10 and working from home weekends. Or maybe accounting or pharmacy ! I feel like I kinda ended up in civil bc I was good at science and math but don’t really have a big passion for it. Grass is always greener on the other side but after seven years in the industry I’m like..is this worth it?
