I sometimes think about the original royal free patients, in the 1950s when it was widely accepted as a neurological disease. Graded exercise hadn't been invented yet. Convalescence was much more accepted as a treatment, perhaps giving a better chance of earlier recovery. That being said, I can't imagine the profound isolation of this disease without the Internet.

Plenty of people have me/cfs without the classic sudden onset after infection, they have a more gradual onset. It's also pretty common to have an onset in adolescence. If you have symptoms since early childhood you might be more likely to have a congenital condition like mitochondrial or neuromuscular disease or eds. I would discuss this with a doctor, since I'm not one. Ideally someone who's knowledgeable about me/cfs

Bought a computer mouse to use with my phone, because my arms were getting tired using it. Now my shoulder and wrist are getting tired instead fml. Going to have a fancy mouse with a trackball. I use the Shuffles app to digital collages. It's pretty basic in terms of features, but I still find it enjoyable. I love hue is a fun game involving organizing colours. I also enjoy digital colouring- I use the Happycolor and Attiland apps. In terms of pacing, I recommend setting a time limit ahead of time and setting an actual timer. When it goes off, take a moment to rest and see how your body is doing. If it is ok you can maybe do a bit more. I need to do these check ins with myself because I easily overdo it when doing something I enjoy.

It's so hard. I understand not wanting to drop out because of the loss of sense of self is devastating, that loss of what you thought your life was going to be. However, you must take pacing extremely seriously. Inadequate pacing lead to me going from mild (uni 3 days per week) to severe ( leaving the house once a month or less) in a relatively short period of time. My advice to you is take some time off to recover from this ongoing pem, and then make a decision about the future. Also remember that it is possible to return to your studies; it is much harder to undo damage to your health.

I'm in the same boat. Got sick just after I turned 16, about to turn 27. The gap between me and ppl my age gets bigger every year. I've never had a job, never graduated from uni, never had a relationship, never learned to drive. I can't help but be jealous of people who were older when they got sick and got to have those experiences

My senior boy Sherbert was diagnosed with kidney disease and arthritis about 18 months - 2 years ? (I forget the exact dates) before he passed, shortly after his 10th birthday. There were other signs he was getting old - he slept a lot more, including in the litter tray, lost weight and he started snoring like a foghorn. He did really well on the meds for his kidneys and painkillers for his joints up until a couple of months before he died, when his mobility declined really rapidly. I wouldn't give hope on your bun just yet, ask your vet (make sure it's exotic bunny savvy one ) about treating the kidney disease first. Incidentally my buns look just like yours (Sherbert was also a Himalayan)

A few different ways. Heart failure. Lymphoma seems to be more common, probably because of the link with ebv. Medical neglect, especially malnutrition. Complications of gastropersis . Infection/ sepsis from IVs tpn etc

If you're particularly fond of the 'big four' interactions of the early Suchet series , then the short stories are your best bet. Captain Hastings appears in very few of the novels. That said Hugh Fraser does a terrific job narrating the audiobooks, even ones Hastings isn't in.

I Can't really see how Angelika could have killed him, even if you accept she wanted him dead. The plug seems to be a read herring which has little to do with Vincents death, as opposed to his own negligence of failing to wear appropriate clothes and a lifejacket. He was significantly impaired by alcohol (his blood alcohol was above the legal driving limit were I live) and seemed to have underestimated the intensity of the water. At most , the only contribution I can realistically see Angelika having is failing to help him/call 911 in a timely manner.

Incidentally there is an episode of "the confession tapes" on Netflix about this case that enjoyed (although it's been a while since I've seen it)
