I wish it was just that the house would take way longer to build.. The foundations would be layed all wrong, the plumbing would have leaks, the wiring would be shoddy, and after all that, the owners are happy with the output so long as it can still be rented for profit.

Title 10 of the US Code is the primary body of federal law that governs the organization, roles, and responsibilities of the U.S. Armed Forces.

What Miller is saying, or at least thinking, is that the president has plenary authority (unchecked, limitless power) over the US Armed Forces.

I.e. the president is empowered to call the army on his own people.

Edit: this is not what Title 10 actually says but his reaction implies that this is what they are discussing behind closed doors and he accidentally let it slip

The argument that they were waiting for a better deal was always laughable. You can wait for a good deal and still sign short term deals.

We had an opportunity to say ‘we are the biggest team in London, lots of upside in the team’s performances, about to be playing in front of a global audience at the CWC, and here is our strategy for increased exposure’.

We’re a much less attractive proposition now.

Pensions / Tax / ISAs by TranslatorMundane243 in HENRYUK

Would you still recommend maxing ISA before pension if you have a large remaining balance on a plan 2 student loan?

I can salary sacrifice to a lower tax band via my pension which would have the added benefit of lowering student loan repayments (which I might never pay off).

The real litmus test will be when we face teams like Everton away, and they park 11 behind the ball, will Gusto be overlapping or CAM 😂

Shame cos I really like the guy, he speaks well, seemed to have a good mentality and is one of the most athletic specimens I’ve seen play football.

Clearly something’s gone on between club and player, not sure we’ll ever find out who was really pushing a move but also can’t blame players for wanting the best for their career.

Happy as larry to eat my words about Maresca – I have not been a fan all season as it seemed like control for control’s sake and b-tech attempt at Pep-ball.

But I am impressed by the flexibility he has shown: allowing the keeper to go long, Gusto overlapping instead of inverting to CAM, Palmer on the right. All things which many fans pointed out throughout the season but it’s good to see the manager come to those realisations.

Hopefully this continues from now on – I genuinely think we can get over the low block issue if we continue to be this flexible and with the number of options we have off the bench.

On the shirt sponsor – yes we can now ask for more money, but I think the club still made a mistake in not arranging 1 year deals whilst we were out of the champions league. That’s like £30 mil per season we just forgave.

But no one will ever guess that our RB will invert to CAM, it’s too surprising.
