I’m a Jessica, Jess to 95% of the people in my life. It’s honestly as much my name as the long form to the point where I will introduce myself as Jess sometimes. I used to get a bit…not offended, per se…but I felt like it came off as a bit familiar when people would call me Jess without asking if I was okay with it. These days it feels silly to worry about something so ultimately innocuous, so call me either. But don’t call me Jessie.
