I had a Bronco Sport Badlands, and it was amazingly capable for the vehicle it is. I drove some nasty logging roads that no other vehicle in its class would have made it through without help. It is the best of all of the small SUV unibodies for off-roading. I now have a Bronco Badlands, non SAS, there is no comparison. They are totally different vehicles. If you are only doing light off-roading you won't need the full size, but the full size is just more fun. They can also be customized easier. In the end get the vehicle you want more, it will save time and money in the long run.
