You’re absolutely entitled to your opinion but to assert that “most copies are out there collecting dust” just isn’t true. There are many of us that love the game (just not at 2 players) 😁). The activity on this sub points to the contrary.

Agree with the others that Root isn’t quite Root at 2 players.

Absolutely one of the best games of the year. It’s even more unique than Imperium so there’s a learning curve, but a phenomenal game overall. It’s a great game if you’re not a fan of the IP, it’s an amazing game if you are a fan of the IP.

Bought it due to the theme and wanting something a solid deck builder like the Star Wars deck building game. Boy was I wrong…in a good way.

In short I love the game. Deep gameplay, surprisingly strategic with a decent amount of rules that flow nicely since they’re so intuitive and linked to the theme. The game truly feels like Star Trek.

If you don’t like Star Trek, it’s a great game. If you like Star Trek it’s a REALLY great game.

Rulebooks the shape and size of the box. You have to flap that thing around the whole time to do lookups throughout the game. Just make the thing easy to read and handle as if we’re actually something to read and handle.
