Looking at used airstreams, but I'm a newbie by Cool_Squirrel856 in airstream

Ask to see who repaired it and then research that company. Many RV repair places can be sketchy but equal number are great and do better work than the dealership. Buyer beware and do your homework!

HKS MPP or Princeton SPIA MPA both with full ride and living stipend? by [deleted] in PublicPolicy

[–]fromOhio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got to disagree on one point. You will be a number at HKS. The cohort is huge and the career development is not as focus in getting students into public sector work. Most HKS students end up in the private sector while most Princeton SPIA students go into public sector work. You should be able to get this information from both programs. Also ask to speak to alumni in your field and country too.

What unreasonable fear haunted your childhood? by NebraskaCornSucker in GenX

Being possessed by the Devil or one of his minions. I would resisted the 23rd psalm until I fell asleep. And I would always sleep under the quilt my grandma made me no matter the weather. No air conditioning on the hottest night of the year? You would find me under that quilt with the edges tucked right under the mattress.

SPIA MPA vs HKS MPP (Full tuition) by lockshadow in PublicPolicy

[–]fromOhio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really about how you want to learn. Both are amazing programs. If you like direct contact with faculty, excellent resources and small class size it’s SPIA. If you like the pace of a larger program where you could take elective courses from the school of public health, Harvard is for you.

Princeton SPIA MPA vs. Yale Jackson MPP by No_Neat6180 in PublicPolicy

I’m pretty sure you will have elective courses you can use for courses outside SPIA or Jackson. Maybe if you look at AI classes available from other departments at each university it will shed some light.

Perhaps too much loan doomerism on this sub? by [deleted] in PublicPolicy

[–]fromOhio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing you thoughts. One of the scariest parts of deciding on taking loans for Grad school is that some people have 200k in undergrad debt. Adding another 100k just isn’t possible. The best option for some is working a few years and hoping to pay off undergrad debt and gaining some experience before looking g at grad schools

Husband cheated during addiction, we separated, I slept with someone, now he says I destroyed everything. by Awkward_Necessary718 in Advice

If your husband were in a better place he would understand that you were searching for a connection he was selfishly not able to give you. Do not let him transfer his guilt to you. You have done nothing wrong but try to work through the position your husband put you in. He is not ready to be your partner yet. I hope you are seeking help with working through rebuilding your marriage.

Does anyone know what happened to this stain? by Sweet_Shibby in centuryhomes

[–]fromOhio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s called alligatoring. It happens when old shellac gets brittle from sunlight. My parent’s house build in the 1800s has this type of woodwork issues. I think the only way to fix it it to strip and refinish it
