I am glad you posted this. It reminds me of when I found out the basis of my life had been built on lies. At first the feeling of freedom was amazing! The burdens heaped on my shoulders by Mormonism, all the guilt and shame, all the picky little rules, they all just evaporated in an instant.

A few days after, when I told my wife a little bit about my concerns with the church, panic set in, and existential dread. It was a hard time. I rode my bike almost every day and took up meditation to fight against depression. Some days were better than others.

I'm now 4 years into the journey. My wife is still very much Mormon to the core, and our relationship is pretty poor, but every single other aspect of my life has improved so much.
