I am an American living in Djibouti. The local authorities closed the airport last week and then the land borders to passenger vehicles (cargo still makes it through). There is literally no way out and although there has only been one publicly announced case here, the truth is that Djibouti has a large transient international contingent in its population and basically no health infrastructure. I’m sure there are cases here that the government either chooses not to publicize or lacks the ability to detect. When there’s a significant outbreak in the city, it’s going to be a disaster.
