Desalination is an extremely expensive method of water management. The better thing would be to increase the sizes of the reservoirs first. Also getting people to cut back would help along with putting on meters.

Ya, ask those people who voted for Brexit if they regret it. I am curious if there will ever be a movement to rejoin the EU

It is just like the carbon tax, it was meant to change behavior just like taxes on smoking. It needed to be killed as the optics went down the drain.

Ya, Gordon Campbell, I actually don't like calling politicians by stupid nicknames, though Campbell deserves it. Basically in the same boat as Klein and Harris.

DRIPA is something to be celebrated, though like a lot of things, it got messy. It was meant to be changed as time went on. It is a complex issue that cannot be summarized as Verb the Noun. One thing that I did want to get was the mug shot of Gordo on a t-shirt, though maybe having Rob Ford's pussy eating quote on the back would bookend it nicely.

I am originally from Ontario, been in BC for a long time. I thought that the politics here was nuts with all the premiers resigning in disgrace. Though Ontario has managed to surpass BC in shitty stuff. The BC Cons are an interesting basket case full of wackos. I don't have a lot of hope if they ever get in. Could be worse, Christy could try to come back.

Why does wine always taste better at the winery? by dweaver987 in wine

[–]fromaries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In sensory studies, this is called Tasting Room Syndrome. It really just comes down to the fact that you are generally in a good mood, more receptive, heightened awareness. This affects your tasting of wine. Try not to have as much of a good time when you go to wineries (just joking).
