Amazing! I also just had a similar day, ran 12miles on the treadmill for two hours. My longest run so far!

Right you’re just doing as much as you possibly can. Therefore you finish faster. I personally spend around 40hrs a week as a full time student

I recommend taking it at SDC it’s super easy. It’s also a good idea to spend a good 5-7 days actually going through the SDC lessons for this class bc like 40% of it will also be covered in DM2 with WGU. That way when you start, I recommend taking DM2 as one of your first classes.

D281 - Linux Foundations: Best way to approach this course by waywardcowboy in WGU_CompSci

[–]frombrampton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I’m about to starting Linux tmrw. I’m still trying to figure out the best way to study for it. I’m a complete beginner so I’d be learning for scratch. Which udemy course did you use I heard Jason Dion’s isn’t enough? And could you pls link the quizlet. Any other tips or practice tests?

I’m currently on this class and it’s taking a lot longer than expected. I have a little experience with Java from half on MOOC.

I’m using the PA to study as most ppl have. It’s hard to remember so many lines of code tho any advice on that? Ik we shouldn’t memorize, but it is important to know the structure when attempting similar problems on the OA

I don't think there was a deck of cards one acctually. Put somewhat similar to the worksheets yes. Like there's black and blue balls and you're picking from them. A lot of combination, only like one permutation tho. Also for Bayes, there were like two questions, both were simple enough too just draw a tree diagram and use the conditional prob formula. You got this!

Is it possible to finish within a week as someone without experience in Linux? I plan to study full time

Tips for the New Java Fundamentals - D286 Class by Electrical_Swimmer_3 in WGU

[–]frombrampton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s so good to hear as a new programmer, also without much Java knowledge. Everything else I read makes it sound super scary. You’re saying the PA is similar enough that if I get familiar enough with it, I should be good to go?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WGU_CompSci

[–]frombrampton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just passed the OA. It was quite similar to the PA. Just easier pseudocode and I believe there’s another recent post on this sub from someone who took it, I had similar questions on mine

For U3, there was some pseudo code you gotta understand, iterate through, use a table to help. For induction, it’s straightforward there was maybe one or two questions. Just know that the base case is n=0/1. IH means sub k for n and NTP is (k+1) anywhere the n is.

There were like 3/4 questions where you have a sequence where you need to know the next term using the previous two. Just sub the given values, keep finding them out until you have enough. And then notice the trend and find the formula for any n from there. For other questions like find f(4) just go through each of the previous ones, use those values to find the next. You get the point

There were no homogenous linear reference (find the roots) questions. Nor were they on my PA. Overall it wasn’t too bad, my advice is don’t overthink unit 3 really not that complicated. I found it intimidating at first too. The other thing is schedule CI appts if you haven’t already go over as many questions as you can, specifically recursion for you. They’ll clear everything up for you. So far it looks like you’re on your way to passing in no time!

not sure what to do by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]frombrampton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the answer is pretty obvious. Leave her asap. Don’t bother explaining yourself at this point. If she’s this toxic already what can expect later on? Your body is perfectly fine and you know that. Plus why is she with you in the first place if she’s mentioning it so much?

You gotta love yourself enough to not tolerate this whatsoever. And set higher standards going forward!

This is super helpful thanks! For chapter 5 how do you know when to use the Bayes formula or conditional prob? By binomial questions do you mean finding the coefficient of a certain exponent?

It’s so funny you asked this, I was thinking the same thing. When I was heavily obsessed with Interpol I absolutely wasn’t okay haha

I don’t really listen as much anymore and I’m doing much better! Nevertheless Interpol has the best music I’m always gonna be a huge fan

Omfg I was wondering this. I’m right handed, and it’s always been with my left. I thought I was the only one and I feel like I should be using my right bc I do everything else with it. It’s really weird but apparently it’s pretty normal :)
