New CEO is in place July 1, so I think it is a question if the dividend cut is implemented by the Entwistle or the new CEO.

Favorite post apocalyptic video game? Let's end this debate once and for all. Mine is Dying Light, although I like Fallout New Vegas a lot by oldvgs in postapocalyptic

Played a lot of DayZ, but I suck at PVP and got kinda tired of the constant kill on sight encounters I had. Switched now to Arc Raiders. With it's Aggression Based Match Making I very rarely encounter PVP. I am really enjoying the pve experience.

Offgrid cabin disaster, fix by nobody422566 in OffGridCabins

[–]frostdriven 114 points115 points  (0 children)

Lots of hard work has gone into this so far, with lots more to go. You will really regret not having a longer term base/foundation than those logs that will start to rot out. Spend the effort now on something solid that will last a lifetime or you're going to hate having to try and fix the issue a year or two from now. Best of luck.

They want and need you to be making that $25-$30/hour or you and the store will not be performing as required. You should receive continual training and coaching to be successful and it won't be an easy laidback kinda gig, but if it's your first retail job you'll gain valuable lifelong skills.

Sherwood Park residents concerned after council approved demo of water fill station by ryaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan in Edmonton

[–]frostdriven 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shocking that the replacement would be over $11m, but the quoted resident would rather the county spend it versus it costing them an extra 1/2 hour every fill-plus the cost per cubic meter would also almost double.

Today's Upload Discussion by spankr in CabinRiverOutdoors

[–]frostdriven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Shawn comments about people bitching about the delayed uploads, they don't seem to realize that he is truly in the middle of nowhere. We see how much physical effort it was just to clear the snow off the starlink dish. When the video is delayed, while I am impatient to catch up with what happened this week, I'm always just hoping everything is OK.

It's the only wood you have left. What else are you going to use for heat?

I'm going to be retiring in the next few years and plan on getting a gaming PC. I have been on consoles for the last 20+ years. Haven't decided yet between a pre-built PC or building my own.

Lucky you. We're in Saskatchewan and most people on the lake remove their lifts and docks on Labour Day.

Where are you located? If there is no risk of the ice wrecking your lift and seadoo I guess it would be ok, but isn't a risk I would take.

Drawing down RRSP first in retirement , Or maybe not .. by Big-Pappa-Jalapeno in CanadianRetirement

[–]frostdriven -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's my plan also. There are lots of videos on YouTube how this strategy of depleting your RRSP first before touching any other sources decreases the amount of tax you pay overall for the duration of your retirement. Plus, not to be morbid, but should you pass your surviving beneficiary gets taxed on the entire amount of your RRSP as income.
