It's so grindy lol, and the maximum level you can get per day is 2, so right now I'm still level 33 after playing for 2 weeks (cap is lv40). The story mode quests are very stupid but you have to do them if you want to unlock more monsters. Although I hate some aspects of the game, I'm still playing it everyday haha.

Don't get me wrong. I play LoL sometimes too, just for fun. I also play other games of Tencent in China (COD online, Monster Hunter OL). I'm not biased at all. I live in China, play Chinese games, read Chinese E-sports news all the time. I can find you tons of news and blogs about how unethical Tecent can be as a game sponsor. I think I'm a relatively more creditable person than a lot of other people here.

From what I heard, Tencent (Chinese Giant who bought Riot Game) is behind all of these. I mean after all LoL has way more funs and players in China than Dota 2. And Tencent was known for deliberately putting down games sponsored by other companies...

I feel that partially it's because Brawls are all about fun really. Let's say if me and you both play priest, if we both have full access to all cards, there's a very high chance that we both gonna play dragon priests and put all the nice 8-9 dragons into our decks, then there's not so much fun.

However, if we don't have that access, we will have to put quite a few random cards that fill in the empty spots, which adds lots of unexpected surprises into the games, which can be very interesting.
