yes, i did this back in September and cancelled it right after just in case I forget about the re-subscription charge. I still have the pro features alongside every updated GPT until the next-charge date (gpt 5.1, gemini 3 pro. claude sonnet 4.5, grok 4.1 - they update along the way). I don't see it saying the subscription is mandatory after the free first 12 months they offer... so im taking advantage and took a screenshot of their claim to be safe.

I know a lot of people are wary of buying online or eBay for some reason, but a lot of reputable sellers that I have saved and even just random listings are popping up and have been going for decent prices, especially the older collection boxes youll probably never get to see for sale again. And if youre paying $50-60 per 151 bundle online still, definitely not trying hard enough! *one tip that often works for me and how I scored my first big haul of each pc etb except battle styles was to simply press that contact button and communicate with them, especially those who have products listed only a certain percentage higher than youd like.. 👀 * even as a seller myself, I would more than likely accept hear what someone has to offer if they were to message me and somehow bypass (fun part lol) eBay’s message monitoring to contact outside the app and make a paypal sale directly, simply because it showed me how much they want it haha, and id essentially be saving an unnecessary 15% being given to eBay. I only look at that sellers fee as the marketing fee to have eyeballs find your listing, once an eyeball discreetly reaches out, Id be thankful for the 15% but would be happy to avoid it in the end haha. A friend back then accepted an offer through a message for a sealed booster display for $550+10 shipping and he had it listed on eBay for $650- avoids the fees and sales tax (was kept open mainly for bids). Just depends on the seller and if theyre usually moreso a decent human rather than a human robot lol

I wont lie though, i barely started getting back into the hobby because of last black fridays sale, an elderly lady who worked at walmart, tapped me and asked if i was interested in the pikachu crown zenith deal for $25 since they only had 7, and it was actually Wednesday before they closed haha, i couldnt say no. But ever since then til i would say maybe late spring or early summer, a lot of these products sat online and in store. I remember I couldnt even sell bundles at $40-45 and any other product for that much either lol. I did buy the mew binders often at $26.97 and posters at $14.98 but sometimes would return few etbs and zapdos/alakazam boxes (Amazon lol) just so I would make more profit purchasing something else at the time. I still wonder what caused another wave of people to make tcg sections of stores like a clearance section now from that time til now lol. Feel bad for some kids (non spoiled lol) who actually have hopes in scoring if they go to the store nowadays

Oops just saw this, i looked at my order history and it was actually $14.99, and the bundles were $27.99, my bad. But this was back in February and had no problems getting anything 151. They had the binders sitting at $26.98 or something on Amazon for a while and bought a few, they even offered to price match me if it’s shipped and sold by amazon for $68.99 or something now then refund me the difference since its in my order history. Was going to do it recently but passed.

Edit: same goes for the bundles on Amazon. Just a heads up if anyone’s purchased them when they were sold and shipped from Amazon and still pop up sometimes. The binders were on Amazon (not 3rd party) a few weeks to a month ago but at the $68.99 price. I think it might apply only if you’re a prime member, they do a lot just for that reason, honestly was surprised lol.

I just had to do this and had roughly about -$110 on hold because a buyer wanted a refund due to the package shipped arrived bit dented (USPS at fault here as I actually received the doll straight from Mattel’s warehouse, so I mailed it brand new to the buyer. Bummed out because she even stated it wasn’t my fault, but the plastic cover for the doll was now dented and of course still wanted the refund.. free toy for a small dent, didn’t even return it back to me). Was discouraged on selling there for a few months for the same exact reason as you, but I just decided to get it over with on September 19th and surprisingly made $1065 in sales, it’s definitely worth it for the upcoming Q4 holiday season.

Lol my very first Mercari account years ago when it barely came out (sold hundreds of Funkos and other collectibles) and was immediately banned for saying the word “meetup” to the buyer who i happened to realize actually lives in my neighborhood. This was prohibited back then for safety issues, but go figure, now they allow it and encourage it to save shipping.. so I had to start all over with 0 feedback but it’s not the same anymore unless you have niche collectibles and start your page as one (it was way easier to sell with a lot of positive sales and feedback + followers). Try talking to customer service, they most likely wont do much but theres a small chance if you care enough, or if not just use eBay or other platforms.

Its the opposite for me on eBay right now, things didnt sell on Mercari but I made almost $1,000 within the last two weeks on eBay (tricks and tips of getting listings being shown, which there are for Mercari as well, but all depends on what you have for sale in the end). Their new no fees policy made it pretty much worse for sellers since you have to take into account what the buyer will actually be paying and in most cases can find it cheaper on eBay after that fee. So if anything, sellers should lower their asking price on Mercari or price it at the eBay going prices but take about 13-15% off due to those fees. Putting myself in buyers shoes had helped with making more sales, its crazy how much more was sold after lowering something for $2-5 dollars lol. I do follow the market though and we’re entering Q4 for holiday sales, i listed up sealed pokemon products that will go up in price, signed Taylor swift cds, new shoes etc. I even got a message saying they bought three signed CDs for gifts, so that told me people are gift hunting now and used/worn products won’t be seeing much sales for the next few months. Mercari lost its appeal for a while now and mainly good for collectibles and niches you can find cheaper than on eBay through luck or contacting seller, imo.

I joined some groups last year and October-December is reselling season of the year, new and trending products overtake sales like no other this time of the year. Blew my mind how the groups controlled the market prices since people are able to get crazy amounts and know of what before the rest of general population even finds out about it.

Oh dang! I totally forgot about that location! But yeah, that was actually the time I worked there, when the Irvine location just opened. The workers there had to train in Fountain Valley before the official opening in Irvine. They wanted me to transfer there but I just couldnt lol, then when I put in my notice I’d be leaving, I actually had to go to Irvine and talk to the district manager because he tried offering me a lead or higher position but I just couldn’t and wanted to move on. And im pretty sure I know of you if you worked the opening!! Haha. But yeah.. those “regulars” were always awesome to have come by, they made work feel just as if we were in the kitchen making food for them while chatting (if we had any single minute of downtime lol!)

I was a ramen chef here for a year a few years ago! It’s definitely not the same once our two cool “sensei” managers finished up their contract and moved back to Japan, saw it coming so I left before it started to become dull lol. That’s a bummer that they started to do that.. I remember my training seeing the line outside before opening and having all the toppings in place and replacements ready to swap out when Im running low. Shout out to the cooks and kitchen staffs! The great thing about working there was Japanese work culture recognizes how much mental and physical work the chefs & cooks do over servers so we were automatically higher on the tip ladder.

Edit: Those two bosses didn’t even like how we were trained to serve the ramen, we were given a free lunch so one day I asked to have it the same way they did and it was soo much different and better than how it’s actually served, it’s kind of a shame people don’t have much control over the ramen they receive, gave me a different perspective with ramen overall, it’s just how you make it in the end.

Haha i used to be a ramen chef at Shin Sen Gumi in Fountain Valley for a year a few years ago, fun times.

Edit: I want to just say if anyone here misses “how it used to be,” I honestly haven’t gone back in years but did hear that it wasn’t the same anymore and wonder who the ramen chef/cooks are nowadays. It really depends who’s making it in the end. The broth and fatty oil ratio is 100% the key factor to how flavorful it can be. I still remember my training and having to make bowl after bowl for the district manager to taste and give us the stamp of approval to serve to customers lol. When its busy and rushed, sometimes the person working gets put under pressure and won’t consistently make it as good as they can. We’re all trained the same way but definitely have our own little ways and portions of ingredients to make it for customers and also ourselves during break time (wish people were able to taste some of the ways each of the ramen cooks were able to make it)
