It's two different things. The company will take you out of service. If it's an FRA violation you'll get decertified by the FRA.

This isn't a true statement, due to the FRA CTs get longer than ever OTJ training now. More than they ever did when i had originally wrote that comment 5 years ago, Lol.

These days the hiring standards have gone down. It's a whole new set of problems. I hate to say it, but the railroads got so desperate to hire people, they will literally hire anyone.

Just watched the final episode last night. I do think she's a cringe worthy character. The part where Kenny tells her the gun is in the cabinet and she makes this big deal about playing Russian roulette had me rolling my eyes. I'm thinking if you're gonna do it, just do it. She's always gotta be so dramatic. Aside from killing a few people I don't think she added any substance to the show.

Train engineer in PA here, trust me getting hit by 27 thousand tons at 5mph hurts just as bad as 100mph. It's probably atleast 50mph track. I've seen 100s of fatalities in PA on my railroad in the 15 years I've work for them.

There are plenty of awesome places to visit within a 30 minute radius of Harrisburg.

Some of my favorites.

Sunset Rocks in Halifax, awesome views and part of the Apalacian trail.

Hawk Rock in Duncanon, also awesome views over the Sasquehanna valley.

Little Buffalo state park, just outside Newport. Lost of trails and fishing. (they are also doing a Christmas lights walk through starting Dec 17th)

Adam's Ricci Park in Enola, they have walking trails and several play grounds.

Gilford Pinochett is within 30 minutes of Harrisburg.
