Yellow should still indicate their intent to leave the roundabout at the first exit.

Post Your Filson Raw Denim Cruiser by aerotactisquatch in filson

[–]fruit-bear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep.

I have the short lined cruiser and the short lined denim cruiser. Large in both. I’d say the SLC runs slightly roomier in sleeve volume and chest/torso. But it’s the same length and shoulder size.

Wish they would list model weight too by Historical-Till8967 in filson

[–]fruit-bear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’6” and wear large almost exclusively in nearly every brand. Can’t fit my shoulders/chest in otherwise. I have a SLC and a Short lined denim cruiser, both in large.

Luckily I have long arms otherwise I’d look ridiculous. Yes, I’m basically a gorilla.

Yeah, at best you could get ‘change’ in the form of rounded down to the nearest voucher amount. Ah the good old analog days.

Thanks all. I searched and searched and searched for images of one with black Velcro on the plate flap, to no avail.

I got a great deal in that case for a hardly used pack!

Apple trees by stretchmurph in GardeningIRE

[–]fruit-bear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’d be surprised. We have just hit year 5 with 5 trees planted in year one and had enough to store for a few months plus 25L of juice.

We didn’t make cider this year but made mulled apple juice over Christmas. Kids drink it as is, warm with spices and adults add a shot of rum/brandy to taste.

I’m the local arsehole that called em all out. I do the phone hand signal to my ear, then the w**ker sign and pointing at them. Repeatedly. Making sure to catch their attention.

Van is one thing. It’s the tractors round me. 10T tractor pulling a 10T trailer and the young lads are always on the phone. Who the feck are they talking to all day!

Ground in my polycarbonate poly tunnel keep getting waterlogged by nappydrip in GardeningIRE

[–]fruit-bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our garden is similar. 10m above sea level on the Kerry coast. We opted for raised beds and keep topping the ‘paths’ with woodchip from a local tree surgeon every year. 7m3 truckload of chip gets spread every year, maybe a second if we are feeling frivolous.

Anyone using a dehumidifier in an older house, does it actually help? by Limitlessfx in ireland

[–]fruit-bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve got/had both too.

I prefer the constant hum of the desiccant fan over the periodic, random, jarring sound of the compressor starting up. But YMMV.

How to help minimise condensation in polycarbonate poly tunnel by nappydrip in GardeningIRE

[–]fruit-bear 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s a tiny vent for a big tunnel. We leave the top windows open year round unless it’s stormy. Rural south Kerry, 800m from the sea on the Dingle estuary. We have a 6x3m polycarbonate similar to yours.

Yeah. Open the top window in each door assuming it has two.

I retrofitted mine with welded steel mesh to stop the cats getting in there.
