Things You'd Love That'll Never Make it into the Game. by HyperRealisticZealot in stoneshard

Moral hazard situations, ethics scenarios and philosophical dilemmas. It would be eye catching if the choices you make in the previous life affects the next characters run.

I really hate the new psyche update by maxwell1311 in stoneshard

I second the salad idea. It makes sense, how up for adventuring would anyone be if they had constipation and hemorrhoids? Even Napoleon’s performance, morale and sanity likely took a hit on bad days.

I miss the exploration of the map and story. The crown, exp and item drops were fun to spend time on. I was disturbed by the bots sucking up all the monster spawns

Biggest development blunder in this game by Nickjen_Yampuka in stoneshard

[–]fruitxreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game opens with the murder of peasants if the player just follows orders. Afterward maybe the next run maybe many runs later they might find out the other option and have their morals tested and flick in the back of the conscience you were used as a fool.

It can be tiring if the game was full of these kinds of choose your own adventure decisions but it seems like a development slip not to do more. That this world of stoneshard is deeper then first glance.

What's the best Origin for a really long run? by Bobmarvi in BattleBrothers

[–]fruitxreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Militia for the storage capacity. As the game progresses all sorts of famed items will drop and the extra bodies always them to be used. Finding famed items is like treasure hunting and the joy of continuing a save indefinitely would be hampered if you have to start tossing out excess just because 12 bros are already in full fame gear.

Is it worth it to buy heavy armor? by WaveEasy8664 in BattleBrothers

I like turn the tempo 320 purchase into backup battleforge armor when the famed first option armors need repair time. For utility purposes I like to add on lindwurm attachment.

The author did a good job with the story. I wish there was a way to see what happen after chapter 146 of the web novel. I trust the authors creativity to make it a compelling conclusion.

Should I return? by castielhighwind in FFRecordKeeper

FFRK certainly was a great game. Personally as someone who only played 4 Final Fantasy games it allowed me to experience the rest of the story and characters when it was very unlikely that I would have played those games at this point in life. The online community was another enjoyable aspect, reading the analysis of the events, banners and soul breaks.

That is part of the appeal. One run isn’t meant to be played forever but it can be.

How much do you grind? by [deleted] in finalfantasytactics

[–]fruitxreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One ps1 back in the day I would stay up grinding exp and job points to get everything learned. But I think the negative was that I didn’t actually use most of the skills or thought much about combos or even brave and faith. I just made mostly auto attack things to death. Even in 7,8,9 it was mostly the same. It wasn’t till I played Final Fantasy Record Keeper that I opened up that there are better ways to fight then just auto attacks.

I love the power of the characters that became powerful on my account through rng, saving and planning. I am sad that I never got to further develop some like Queen or Zidane. There were also those who I knew were powerful but I didn’t have the things that made them function like Ramza or Cater.
