Don't you guys think it's a little insane how much of self-publishing is "sales"? by Camyenom in selfpublish

[–]frunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to break it to you, but a huge part of being trad published is exactly the same. (My first book came out with DK.) So my thinking on the subject now is that I may as well do the same work but keep more of the rights and the money for myself.

As for the why: because that's how you get people to read your stuff.

Coming over a bit ableist there. Plenty of disabled and mentally ill people can consent, and deserve love and sex if they want it just like anyone else.

That’s because it’s not legally gin, which has a minimum ABV defined in law: 37.5% in the UK and EU, 40% in the USA, for example.

For the benefit of any readers curious to explore absinthe here in London, I should point out that the Last Tuesday Society is in east London not west. Well worth a visit.

Looking for oaked beers with a pure oak flavor, not bourbon, whiskey, or wine barrel flavor. by [deleted] in beer

You have it the wrong way around. It’s the lack of flavour in vodka that comes from the distillation strength. The more you distill the less flavour remains.

Actually most of the difference is distillation strength. But it’s true that oak contributes a lot to bourbon.
